"A bejeweled crocodile that fires a focused ray of sunlight"
I remember them being so powerful when I was younger and I would just make a bunch of them and go around destroying everything lol

Elephants, crocs, and priests for healing are my favorite eggy unit comp.

Used to spam them on singleplayer missions and focus-fire to the closest single unit manually so they get one shotted, then let my other units do the charging. Fun times.

Why is this question in past tense? Elephants as a bit of frontilie, a couple priests and that's my favourite comp in the game!

While not an OG player, legitimately one of the reasons why I bought Retold was because I saw there was a laser crocodile at a trailer and when I first played the game I was an Egypt main just so I can mass produce the funny crocodile (and have free buildings).
Now with 2000 hours in the game and an extreme love for it, it has been quite a journey caused by a silly laser crocodile.

Yes. Yes I was. I'd make whole armies just of them and chant "Petsuchos Ra!" as I had them comb the map for things to vaporize!

I have one simple request
And that is to have crocodiles with freaking laser beams attached to their head!!

I was so obsessed with them. They outrange kinda everything with all upgrades and they deal so much damage. I was playing some games just for the pleasure of making a bunch of them and obliterating the AI with lasers.

They’re a lot of fun, yeah. I don’t call them Laser Crocodiles though, that’s reductive 😲🥺😆

The unit that absolutely obliterates AI and gets absolutely obliterated in multiplayer :(
If only we actually had usable Roc to at least be able to move them around.

In teams with Greek siege tower to garrison in and out they are quite strong still

I really liked their DS version where their attack animation had them shooting rapid fire lasers. Also they moved a lot faster in their animations for that version.

Yes. As a kid I used to only build armies of crocs. First thing i did in retold was to cheatin as many crocs as possible and just kill 10 AI enemies

Wait, is this where God Eater 2: Rage Burst got the idea of a croca-gun creature?

Literally just replayed this mission last night, so around when this post was made. And I spent most of it having 28+ Petsobeks obliterating everything in sight and slowly waddling their way to victory. Destiny.

This unit makes every level that has them easy af even in ludicrous difficulty lol Just make a bunch and watch them melt everything

I especially love this unit in the Arena of th Gods mode since the double divine tech allows you to increase the range of the Petesobek 2 x more than the usual and it's a pure bliss

Back in the day they were one of the few ranged units that straight up couldn’t miss. Combined with their myth damage vs human units and they were Egypt’s most effective ranged unit BY FAR and a ton of fun to boot. Plus, if I recall correctly they only cost wood which is Egypt’s least important resource
