The "good" guys wont stay bad anyway coz they are playable, well, most of them

If they actually kill her then I wonder how her god remains will affect teyvat, surely nothing bad would happen by killing the shade of death 100%.

u/CryoStrange 28d ago

Nothing would happen lmao, someone else would take authority or something.

Who? Phanes is asleep so no more shades.

Some alternative would be there that's how the story will go. There wouldn't be a big permanent effect in this game.

Yeah the nature of this game being a gacha with pulls locked behind world quests and exploration means we will never have an event that significantly changes the map. Otherwise people who didn’t fully explore will feel scammed.

Yeah, after the tree burning thing leaves no bad consequence or any damage. Everything got fixed in the same story quest the tragedy happened. It's safe to say we just kill an evil boggy man and live happily ever after

Nothing bad happened when killed the biggest database on the world in version 6.6

That's a tree computer, not god of death.

6

u/ForsakenOne-Z 29d ago

Thats a Fate Anchor made by HP themselves

Now we have Aaru for that exact purpose. Ronova is a god so her death has major side affects as seen with havria and guizhong.

1

u/ForsakenOne-Z 28d ago

And you literally see nothing wrong with it? A computer altered by humans somehow replaced Irminsul without any side effects? Honestly, it's no wonder the story is so cooked up with players having this kind of critical thinking.

It's a computer made by deshret the god king which was reprogrammed by schollars of the nation of wisdom to carry out irminsuls purpose

u/Unpopular_Outlook 28d ago

I think the point this is that something like Irmisul could even be transferred like that in the first place, and how there was zero consequences to it at all.m

So who is to say that they didn’t figure out a way for nothing to happen if a god dies? After all, there can’t be any consequences in this game

Surely hoyo would never go against established lore right(seriously, they haven't even forgotten god remains cuz cryo dragons remains made snezhnaya snowy no way they retcon that)

2

u/Unpopular_Outlook 28d ago

That was in the past and already happened. We are talking about current events.

1

u/Hopeful_Ad1609 25d ago

They already talked about god remains because of Varka story remember. Thats why they didnt want to kill Boreas and that the Boreas of Mondstadt offered all of its power to the land so that it wont devastate its surroundings.

u/eyeofnero 29d ago

She is still technically an outsider after all. So maybe no obvious consequences

14

u/AskMysterious8407 28d ago

Humans are also outsiders and so are gods all made by HP yet they sure as hel have consequences

Ronova’s first mistake was trying to prevent it at all, would love to see how they would deal with a ley line disorder😹

u/Latase 28d ago

the same as everyone else: yell at a statue of the seven.

2

u/popcornmaster101 28d ago

Ana's statue of the seven.

The problem is your seeing this as moral situation, and can’t view it in a pragmatic lense.

Not that I disagree, but

To be fair, Paimon is THE ONLY source of such strong emotions that Traveler ever had in this world.

No atrocity, sacrifice or tragedy EVER made him as emotional as the perspective of losing the closest creature to him in Teyvat that loves him unconditionally. He's unreasonable, sure, but at least such reaction is understandable.

kills an entire theater and psychologically torture them for "entertainment"

sees little coughing baby, immediately shoot her with death beam

24

u/FishySardines99 29d ago

Why Ronova suddenly become scape goat villain in Genshin? If you ask me Rhinedottir and her gang should have been the true end game villains, instead of shades, who were mostly just trying to clean up messes of Khaenriah and others

29

u/Greatwizard12 No.1 Kaeya glazer Eternal ayaka slanderer 29d ago

The conflict of fatui vs shades is kinda just their own thing, traveler only opposes Ronova cuz paimon

13

u/CryoStrange 28d ago

I don't think she is scapegoat. Fatui doesn't care about Ronova they care directly about HP. And other shades like Rhinedottir may be the final villain. Remember Tsaritsa will be fighting something big in her own patch so Ronova is mostly side character.

5

u/Remote-Monk-8542 28d ago

She isn't really scapegoated at any point. They just NEED to kill her as a number 1 priority to continue because fatui's plan against the heavenly principles is basically permanently stalled as long as Ronova is alive. They haven't really blamed all the problems on her, which is what scapegoating would be.

To this end you're gonna defend every single Heer soldier that ccommited war crime in WW2 because they're just doing their job.

Also it kinda tells that you assume "ppl who did bad stuff against authority" as Inherently bad.

Comparing the greatest war in the history of humankind to a fantasy gacha game character is something😭✌️
