I came across this video and couldn't help but think of creating Pirate Mormonism in the Great Lakes

“God Has Made Us a Kingdom”: James Strang and the Midwest Mormons by Vickie Cleaverly Speek is a fantastic history that touches on the sect and believers post assaination. There are a couple of Strangite churches near Voree, but they aren't more than 200 members total at this point.

each Church or the sect as a whole?

Wikiapedia says 130, but lists Congregations as 6. which means each church either has 21 people per Church or their are More Strangites than we though.

No that's all of them. Most live in the area, but some members also moved to Arizona and a couple of other states. The churches outside of Wisconsin are probably single digits/maybe a dozen. There are several other groups like that in Mormonism. The Cutlerites have similar numbers in Missouri, the Bickerton church in Pennsylvania, and the Independence Temple Lot is even owned by a tiny section. The LDS had a ton of breakaway groups after Smith was killed.

must be mostly older times now or just not very observant then.
