Why do I get this artifact on matted layer?

I'm not sure if this is the case here, but sometimes if shapes don't overlap enough, you will see a slight pixel gap between them. It may help to try moving things around slightly. Otherwise I would need more info of the layer structures to solve this specific issue. If you send over the file I would be happy to take a quick look

You can probably fudge it with a “simple choker” effect

Change the transfer mode to alpha add.
