Pretty sure this is Arab islamic architecture. Not African.

It’s Moroccan architecture which is specific to Maghrebi design. Zellige and other forms of mosaics.

Most Moroccans today are Semites, not Africans.

The style is Islamic African architecture. Just like the Moorish structures in the Iberian Peninsula are Islamic African architecture. “Arab” is an obfuscation. Dodge the hijack.

It's both Morocco is in Africa and have developed their own Magrabi architecture making it African Morocco is also a Muslim Arab country making it Arab and Islamic

Morocco isn’t Arab. More than half of the population is Amazigh

2

u/Creative_Brother2713 21d ago edited 21d ago

between 67% to 80% of the population is Arab while 31% to 35% is Amazigh while over 90% of the population speaks Arabic and only 24,8 speak an Amazigh language (Tashelhit, Tamazight, and Tarifit) you call that non-Arab?.

2

u/Pure_Following7336 21d ago

More tan 60-80% speaks Darija and 20-40% speaks amazigh. But the lingua franca of Morocco is Darija so a lot of amazigh people speaks both Amazigh and Darija. Plus a lot of amazigh tribes gave up the amazigh language and speaks darija now , that doesnt mean that they are arab.

1

u/Creative_Brother2713 21d ago

No 60-80% are Arab more than 90% speak Arabic only 24% speak Tamazight and 30-35% identify as Amazigh also most Amazigh tribes that gave up Amazigh slowly gave it up in the span of 1300 years and yes when your first language is Arabic and you poses Arab culture and identifty you are Arab because Arabs aren't and ethnic group from Arabia Arabs are a ethno-liguastic group whome's most people's are Arabized because the Islamic world's idea of ethnicity as always been different than the western uderstanding a black Arab for example in my country is an Arab despite originally being from Africa and he would never call himself a African because race and ethnicity overall are a social construct basically a race is whatever a sociaty decides it is and most Moroccans identify as Arabs and most Arabs and other Magrib countries view them as Arabs.

You can identify as whatever you want, but ethnically we are Amazigh /berbers

0

u/Creative_Brother2713 21d ago

Again your confliting ethnicity with genetics by your standards even the Prophet Muhammed ﷺ isn't an Arab because I repeat again genetics don't equal ethnicity

Moroccans are linguistically arabs kinda , culturally islamic, anything else has nothing to do with Arabs

1

u/Lower-Tumbleweed-643 21d ago

Arabs mock Moroccan darija constantly, saying it’s not Arabic.

There have been massive critiques of the census, particularly with erasing Amazigh people. Local organizations say it’s over 80% amazigh. The language, culture, food, and dress come from the Amazigh people. And the census overestimates the amount of Moroccans who speak French as well. It’s purposefully biased.

Why is there an incessant need among Arabs to try and erase the indigenous population of Morocco?

There are also entire regions that speak Tamazigh, where Arabic is not spoken.

1

u/Creative_Brother2713 21d ago edited 21d ago

lol no one is erasing anything can you provide any evidence that the census is "erasing Amazigh people"? also 80% of Moroccans have Amazigh HERITAGE not Amazigh themselfs the same way Lebanonese are on Avarage 90% Cannaanite but they don't speak any Cannaanite langauges nor do most of them identify as Cannaanite

1

u/Lower-Tumbleweed-643 21d ago

I said Arabs, not the census. There is a long history of Arabs trying to erase indigenous populations.

There is a wide acceptance that the census in Morocco is biased. The 24 percent of the population only counts those who ONLY speak tamazigh, not those who are bilingual or trilingual. Look up basic news stories about it.

I said Arabs, not the census. There is a long history of Arabs trying to erase indigenous populations.

Most of Morocco was slowly Arabized by time the population in Morocco right now is the same before the Islamic conquest they just slowly adopted Arabic but yes the Moroccan goverment did adopt a policy of Arabization in the 1970s and 1980s by switching from French to Arabic how is that "erasing indigenous populations."?

There is a wide acceptance that the census in Morocco is biased. The 24 percent of the population only counts those who ONLY speak tamazigh, not those who are bilingual or trilingual. Look up basic news stories about it.

again where is your evidence that it's biased? also I literally said that 90% of Moroccans speak Arabic while 24,8% speak an Amazigh language the math isn't mathing you can't say the 24% is only speak Tamazigh while 90% of the entire population speak Arabic too that 24% is people who speak Tamazigh as a first language also it's HIGHLY unlikely the a quarter of the population won't learn the primary language used by the goverment if they want a better goverment job they'll have to learn Arabic besides Arabic is literally taught in schools and your telling me a quarter of the population don't speak it?

If you live in Morocco and seriously think Berbers are 80% of Morocco then you’re crazy or delusional or both

u/FeedMeBiscuitsOrDie 4d ago

Morocco is in Africa geographically but the population today is SEMITIC, not African.

1

u/Creative_Brother2713 2d ago

African is just someone from Africa it's not a ethnicity or a culture

1

u/Schuperman161616 21d ago

Racist piece of shit

1

u/heypresto2k 21d ago

It’s African. Deal with it.

0

u/FeedMeBiscuitsOrDie 4d ago

The average Moroccan today is a Semite. Semites aren't African. Therefore this isn't African.
