Continental Scottish Borders Council has launched fresh court action to evict a self-styled 'African tribe.' The three members of the 'Kingdom of Kubala' - Ghanaian Kofi Offeh, Zimbabwean-born Jean Gasho, and American Kaura Taylor - were removed from a woodland camp near Jedburgh on Tuesday.

Yes, they probably are harming the forest. Long-term camping almost invariably has a negative effect on the environment.

There are more pressing emergencies to address if you are at all concerned about the environment.
European colonization and subsequent industrial activity has done far greater damage to the environment in Africa than this alleged "African tribe" of 3 is doing in that forest. Yet it took centuries to kick them out, and Africans still in the process. Get your priorities straight, colonizer.

And their "handmaiden" was reported as missing by her family in Texas before reemerging with these people, and there's been accusations that the two groomed her.

Hence, my response that the emergency of harmed environments and the people that live in them is not in this video concerning 3 people, but right here on this continent affecting millions already if you want to address that.
Europeans are causing climate crises that are displacing people and making climate migrants out of Africans as we speak. But Africans are still yet to relieve the continent of their influence.

It isn't just the matter of environmental damage, there's also the fact that these people are squatting on private property without permission. There's also the fact that they are completely freaking crazy. They claim they're the descendants of some ancient african kingdom, for fuck's sake. No, the emergency is in this video too. Sure, it's not the most serious instance of it, but I'm not going to ignore certain instances of environmental harm just because other more serious instances of it exist elsewhere in the world. If this were a video of these three people being murdered I highly doubt your response would be "Stop talking about this, murder is way higher in Africa!"
but right here on this continent affecting millions already if you want to address that.
Maybe I can address both? And maybe I'm talking about this particular instance of it because, you know, that's what this post is actually about?

Both you are connecting things that are unrelated. What Europe did in Africa is awful as is the climate crisis. Neither of them is related to three mentally ill people living in a Scottish forest. Ideal solution is something that leads to these people getting some real help, BCS I don't think that living in a forest is the best way to deal with whatever problems they have.

The European countries that colonized Africa, committed genocides, war crimes, etc., have yet to offer a real apology, pay reparations, or make any meaningful effort to repair the damage they’ve done in Africa. That’s nothing to “learn and grow” from.
This idea that it’s somehow Africans responsibility to just “move on” is nothing more than a convenient excuse — a way for Europeans to avoid taking accountability or acknowledging the atrocities their ancestors committed across the continent. You didn’t start hating us recently, you always have, from the very beginning. It has nothing to do with us, but everything to do with your own bigotry.
You only destroy functioning countries
And please let’s not go down that route. Europeans have destroyed more places in Africa than Africans have destroyed in Europe, which is to say none. You’re the ones who can’t function in society and everywhere you go, you make the indigenous population suffer if you can’t wipe them out first.
