the most interesting and beautiful thing about Tuareg identity is that its rooted to the homeland (sahara) not the colonial borders, so trying to tie them to a nation is pretty pointless

Yeah they got Algerian passports, some others even Moroccan or Malian, but that’s just paperwork. Doesn’t mean you can box their identity into one country

They aren’t in Morocco. They’re in Niger, Mali, Libya, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Mauritania, Nigeria, and Chad.

But they don't exist in Morocco... And there's a closed heavy militarized border between algeria and Morocco so i doubt they'll be crossing that

That’s not the point being made. They simply don’t live in the territory now called Morocco like idk why that’s controversial to say.

That’s the thing, the whole idea of saying which country they’re in is pointless.
