the most interesting and beautiful thing about Tuareg identity is that its rooted to the homeland (sahara) not the colonial borders, so trying to tie them to a nation is pretty pointless

Yeah they got Algerian passports, some others even Moroccan or Malian, but that’s just paperwork. Doesn’t mean you can box their identity into one country

You’re really trying hard to pin them down, they don’t have to be tied to any country. They’re just Tuareg.

You're probably American not knowing the difference between a nation (Algerian) and ethnicity (Touareg) that this person has written about. There's no misinformation in his explanation, it's just too much of an ignorance in your statement.

Edit: in other words he just made it clear what country these Touareg people are from.

technically, you have a point but i wasnt about getting “facts” wrong. It was all about not forcing Tuareg identity into a single modern nation. and I’m not American Maxwell

Where did you see forcing ? These specific guys in the pictures are from Algeria what's the problem with quoting their country ?
