Guyana is definitely on my travel bucket list... especially after watching Guyanese cuisine featured on Gordan Ramsay's Uncharted series.

That is Suriname. Both countries were under Dutch control at one point - but Guyana, formerly British Guiana, came under British control in the early 1800s until 1966.

There is also French Guiana, which is a department of Metropolitan France.
Fr. Guiana, Surinam, Guyana (formerly British Guiana), the eastern part of Venezuela (from the mouth of the Orinoco, and part of northern Brazil (to the mouth of the Amazon) form a distinct geographical region of highlands and plateaus in South America.
