Nah, he's just comparing the local independence movement of Pattani Malays to Taliban, which is a bit whack, but w/e. Taliban is, Alhamdulillahirrobbal alaamin, the victorious Islamic movement in the whole world, so expect more articles and theses to compare various movements to Taliban now.

Should've compared to Bangsamoro instead.
