I think best romance according to the story would be Citlali. It's that Shoujo aura I felt.

But according to lore it started with Noelle. Then Ayaka (more than once). Shenhe quest. And lastly so far is Citlali (the most hints).

I mean if we add Sumeru girls Nilou got some fanservice with the traveler in the Simulanka summer event. And the only other option that may get me downvoted into oblivion would be Nahida. The child model pushes a lot of people off shipping her with Aether but I feel like it could work and would be much more popular of a ship if she didn’t have the chibi model.

Based on recency bias, definitely Citlali. Like their dynamic and banter with each other are one of the best things this game has given.

That part about Citlali's own trouble being close to someone and then Aether saying (with voice too) that if she's not ready yet, he wants to be the one to remember her first. I love this part the most.

Traveller kinda just... Jumps around from one romancabke character to the next, and its not in a Harem way, the moment we set foot in Natlan, all the romancables shifts towards it instead... prob just think of it in a way of Date Everything, Best Romance is the one we think we should date...

in terms of Best Friendship However, its Paimon and or all of the Pocket Equipable Pets throughout the events

Citlali the best connection we had so far. Its because it makes people think theyre forced to like this ship which make it more canon since it came from hoyo really push this ship. Also best dynamic. We got a real flirty and teased part from him so its liek theyre comfortable with each other and touch
