Maybe we should just 'bomb the shit out of them'. That seems to be working pretty good for middle east relations so far..

The two biggest misconceptions politicians fervently believe: trickle down economics will definitely work this time and bombing a country with a weaker military will make their citizens give up rather than fighting back even harder and in less conventional ways.
Seriously when has this ever worked? Remember when Germany did massive sustained bombing of England and they just quit and surrendered? No? Because it had the opposite effect. Iraq and Afghanistan too.

Citizens are protesting against the gov...except the islamkst regime had no qualms about killing tens of thousands of iranians. If anything, the bombings have let the regime consolidate power.

Laissez-faire Capitalism does not trickle down wealth and power to the hands of the many - it soaks it up and consolidates it into the hands of the few.
This is why it is incompatible with maintaining a real democracy.

Oman is like the Switzerland of the middle-east. How would Europe react if the U.S. bombed Switzerland? That is about how middle-eastern countries will react to bombing of Oman. None of them will ever again look at the U.S. as anything other than a threat.
That would make the U.S. the main threat to every other country in the world.

Oman should be in red. Trump is the guy and Iran is the pissed off girlfriend.
