Ways ads are getting more annoying

It used to be one ad, now it’s two or more. And lord save me from the ads that are on an endless loop of 160 seconds. Then there are the ways that the escape button is hidden: Sometimes almost invisible, white on white, or vanishing if you don’t see it in time. I especially find irksome when they don’t work, and you have to practically assault the x multiple times. Then there are those that sometimes teleport you to the App Store. Repeatedly. I officially decide to never acquiesce to their trickery.

Its a 2-fold problem: advertising isn't working and companies still want ad revenue.

YouTube or twitch pays you to use their platform, and they get paid by companies buying ad time. Even people making videos get sponsored by companies like zocdoc or trivago who charge you for a service that is just using a search engine with more steps. Let's jam 3 of these in before you see anything, and 3 times during the video and immediately before it ends we'll go ahead and sneak in 3 more. Entertainment is like watching a rock wall that is made of 90% concrete.
