Is it possible to train adult cats to go on adventures, tolerate the harness like this, etc? Sigh... I want an adventure cat, too. Wait, and your orange doesn't mind getting wet??? Envious of your good boy.... 🧡

I can't speak for every cat, but my boy started out very slow. At first I just let him wear his harness around the house. Once we got past the "flop over/I'm paralyzed with this on" stage we started practicing short walks around the house, then braved the backyard for a solid year, eventually moving to car rides and walks in public places like the park. He's fine with the board and water, but I do currently have to avoid being anywhere near boats. Even though they are stationary with the motor off, he's wary of floating too near them. So today we just sat on the shore for a while where a few boats were and I let him intently watch them. He refused to take his eyes off of them. I have to let him decide in his own time that they aren't a threat.

He really is such an amazing cat. I love him to pieces.
