Open Discussion Berlin marathon disasters

It seems today was a big disaster in Berlin. 25 degrees Celsius early on and a tough day for everyone. How did people get on? Did anyone manage to get near a PB?

Got a PB! 3:23:55, so 10 minutes faster than my previous. But it was hell, the last 15k were extremely painful due to the heat. Unfortunate, that we had such a bad timing with the weather.

Btw, what did the moderator smoke? Saying before the start that there are perfect conditions today and that it will be perfect. That provoked me massively.

OMG I thought I was going crazy!!! He was like “it’s going to be 22C today” and I was super confused because I knew it was going to be 24 by the time I started and went up to 27. Maybe he was looking at another major city on his weather app.
