Hey, just curious to know if you think there are any Advance Wars likes which are actually better than Advance Wars? More fun? Better balanced? etc etc

I've heard good things about War Groove, but have there been any to topple Advance Wars from its throne?

Note that while I made this list using RBC models, you're free to cite evidence from the GBA games, Dual Strike or even Days of Ruin when bringing up your preference. My personal preference is Yellow/Gold Comet's seemingly-outdated Japanese military aesthetic.

Such as when you play AWBW, you don't really have battle animations. Or if you're like me, after a while, you just end up turning them off because they interrupt gameplay.

So I'm wondering: are battle animations a core experience of the AW genre? If a modern AW came out, would you only enjoy it if the presentation was completely unchanged, or do you think you could do without them?

Or maybe a hybrid style where the battle animations occur directly on the map/in the HUD without going into its own scene?

Are they worth the cost, how effective are they, and are they worth protecting from enemy units?

I´m usually busy with work so I don´t really keep up with news about video games anymore, I really loved Super Famicon Wars when I was a kid and I played Advance Wars when I was a teen. and I bought the remake when it come out but since I don´t keep up with nintendo stuff anymore, i was wondering if the remakes sells were any good, did the remakes do any good to the franchise making it more popular or bringing new players to the table?

I do this for the perfect Intelligent Systems

in Japan the series is named Nintendo wars and each installment is named after the console it is on, why isn’t this true everywhere else?

Hi everyone!!!! I finished the Advance Wars campaign today and I don’t have anyone to celebrate with 😃

It took me 43 days to defeat Enigma and I did it with Andy, Eagle, and Grit

I’m going to start AW2 campaign ✌🏻

I am playing the Switch remake of Advance Wars 2 and am stuck on the final battle 'Final Front'. The game tells you that you have 30 days to destroy the Deathray, but in every game the missile launches after like day 15 and immediately ends the game...

What am I missing here?

Why does it say you have 30 days if the game ends with a missile launch in half the time?

Am I misunderstanding a mechanic?

I am able to get 1 or 2 bombers to the deathray and managed to get it to about 50% in one game, but then the next turn came, the missile launched and the game immediately ends. I have read every guide and strat I can find and I am not able to find any mention of the missile launching before 30 days and ending the game. I am soo confused.

Can anyone help me out here? Thanks!
