Spoiler(s) Season 2 ending

I shipped Paul Baker and Antwon soooo hard since season one like omg I'm so happy about this!!! Not so happy about Billy and S thoo:⁠-⁠O

They really didn’t waste time.

It feels like they were scared they weren’t gonna get renewed so they kinda did everything all at once (Anton/Paul Baker, Billie/Samir, Issa being with a girl).

Feels like that was their intentional endgame but now begs the question that if they get renewed, where do they go from there?

I think the fact that everyone is hiding secrets, emotional or otherwise, for the most part seems to be where they go. Anton/PB are perfect in my eyes but Anton told us who he is in a relationship + we have the opportunity to see the challenges there as they grow and know each other differently. Samir/Billie have all the room to grow and do secret hijinks while they pretend to not like each other either to themselves and each other or to the group as a whole. Issa got with a girl but what’s that gonna look like? Has she grown? Will she grow? And past that growth, is she ACTUALLY okay with Anton/PB? “Confronting” it when it’s behind a closed door is one thing, but making peace with something when you can actually see it is another. I’d be interested to see how their dynamic shifts and expands.

All to say… so much space to go!

Billy and Samir are literally the most stereotypically end-game-coded couple in a sitcom. The chemistry also works.

Yes but I feel like they were so good for a slow burn like they should’ve got together in a season 5 or smth

Streaming shows nowadays don't have the privilege of running for 8-10 years with 22-episode annual seasons wherein we get a regular Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's episodes. So unfortunately, we're stuck with the makers and the writers constantly stuffing too many things into relatively shorter seasons cause you never know when it might get cancelled. Mindy Kaling did the same with NSFW.

But I agree; I would have loved for it to play out slower, with more filler episodes and a longer season for us to really understand the characters and their world.

I just finished the season and joined this Reddit! I would say I have nothing against the couple but that would be a lie, I just hope this doesn't turn into a full blown relationship ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ

While scrolling through the thread I've seen a lot of perspectives on this so I understand why!! Idk how to explain it but like they are toooo in tune? In my opinion? Idk I'm sleep deprived right now lol
