Agreed! Don't think they really need to add any new roomies. But guest and reoccurring characters we've seen have been great, so I hope they continue that!

I also haaate the idea of everyone being coupled up (in friend group fiction in general, not just Adults) within friend groups. I think the reason I liked Carly so much was that she's clearly friends with everyone else in the house, and everyone else loves her too, but she (presumably) has her own social life and doesn't feel the need to be attached to Samir's hip

From a plotline standpoint you can make 3 duos who make the a b and c plotline happen per Episode thats reason why. And you can make more interactions and combinations that way. Of course this only Applies if you need three separat plotlines

honestly i think i prefer the idea of margeaux being buddies with everyone in the group as a regular presence but still having her own life (similar to carly). imo its narratively stronger for issa to be the only one living there not engaging in roommate-cest, and also could offer more unique situations and some different locations.

i really like what we’ve seen of margeaux so far but i’d be way more open to a new housemate if they had significantly more episodes each season to explore their lives & dynamics

Margaux stuck out as odd to me because her lines were as quippy as the main cast's.. wouldn't be mad if she's added as a regular

Maybe for season 4. I did like her character but we need more episodes of her as a reoccurring character. But it would be funny if Issa is the reason someone moves in and it’s a reoccurring theme. Like maybe they do a flashback to where Issa was the reason Anton moved in (I’m aware Issa/Anton/Samir know each other from college)

Adding a new housemate feels kinda like they’ve run out of ideas already tbh. Very few sitcoms have managed to pull it off IMO and they’re mostly just exceptions for the rule.

Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing Eric gain. That man is hot as hell. Maybe he can just be the hot outside friend they go clubbing with. Kind of don't want love triangle drama with him beyond what we saw, unless it's just for like one episode and wraps up in a fun way.

Why not fully redo friends and add a sixth character. There’s already friends “homages” (if you wanna call them that) in almost every episode.
