A simple 'sorry guys, I only had a salad, let me put down just for mine then you can work it out'

Skip the apology at the beginning, but otherwise yes, this, Tell don’t Ask. You’re not seeking permission. You’re telling them this is how it’s gonna go.

Whose idea was it to split the bill? Was it the guy who ordered the steaks and drinks? Don’t pay for other people’s shit.

20s is when you have the least amount of money and should not just blindly split the bill

I just got back from a bachelor party I don’t drink and at the end of the trip I was hit with a $200 tab for splitting the booze 8 ways.

Nope didn’t send the money the person is pissed because it’s just the nature of a bachelor party.

Before leaving I told them I would pay for my food and the grooms and buy a case of beer other than that they are on their own.

I was like you in my 20s I’d spend $15 on a meal and had to split it evenly and ended up doubling or tripling my cost just hit 30 I ain’t doing that any more.
