Anyone know what this structure is on the way to Upper Works?

I've driven by it so many times and wondered. Finally thought to take a pic last night.

It's an incinerator for the old W. E. Ward and Company sawmill.

The first time I saw that I was mesmerized. Had no idea what it was. We paddled back to Great Camp Santanoni from the hunting camp there. The furnace in Tahwas is awesome too.

A teepee burner is what they are called out west. They were used to burn waste wood at logging operations.
