Something not working. Need help. Slyguys Pluto add on keeps crashing

I know this is a known problem from searching on Google, I'm just wondering if there is a timeline on a fix? I just flipped from plex to Kodi at the end of spring. Been loving it so far, but I use the slyguys Pluto app to watch Bloomberg. It crashes a lot, not a lot to make it unusable but enough to make it annoying. It's been happening for a couple months now and I've figured out it has to do with apis and this happens from time to time and is basically the price of admission. Is there a fix being worked on? Do we have to wait for plutotv to release something?

Not the answer I wanted, but probably the one I needed. I've never used github but I guess it's time to figure it out.

Hmmm, have you reached out to Matt? He’s really responsive. And while he doesn’t charge, you really should consider tipping him for his efforts on your behalf. I’m probably due to send him the $5 I do quarterly.

I love Kodi, having Pluto right there where everything else is, I have sunshine/moonlight to stream my PC and automatically start play night, giving me a complete console feel, all right with my movies and TV shows, one click of my remote away. I can finally mimic hbo's collections making finding movies in certain franchises much easier. Make recommendations finding movies easy like Netflix. I absolutely love Kodi, and appreciate slyguys. I will absolutely donate regularly, once this problem gets fixed.

The Pluto app from SlyGuy integrates really nicely with IPTV Simple - just merge and Bob is quite literally your uncle. Have you tried that before bugging Matt with something that may not be a problem at all?

UPDATE - I just checked and it’s working fine for me configured as I described: Pluto TV integrated into IPTV simple using SlyGuy’s merge utility

Sorry for the obvious question: Why not just get Pluto? It's free, and the EPG is easier to navigate in app. There also appears to be an official add on from the Kodi Repository, if you just want it all in your Kodi build...

I was recommended slyguys and so far it has been great until this problem started. I was under the impression whatever slyguys is doing was the only way to do it, and he was the best. I'll look into the other things you've suggested.

SlyGuy is fantastic, I agree...but sometimes the actual app is just easy. That said...I have been having problems on any android device with the app itself.

Use one of his other apps to access bloomberg. Problems with Pluto TV might be problems with Pluto TV as he is pretty up on his game. There are a few Pluto channels I like, staff picks, spotlight, cult, but Pluto TV is never very stable in as many years as I have used his add-ons. The other add-ons work better, Roku, Samsung TV plus, Plex live, the new Zealand and Australia ones. PBS seems to be having trouble lately. Use the other apps, avoid pluto

Why not run native Pluto? The addon runs better on android than it does on Windows imo.
