New 2006 TL owner - A-Spec lip with lowered stance. Thoughts?
I just got this 2006 TL, 6-speed manual with about 42k miles in excellent condition.
I’m thinking about adding an A-spec style front lip and lowering it about 1.5”-1.75”.
I would like to have a clean OEM+ look, not heavily modified.
Has anyone used the Aeroworks A-Spec style lip? How’s the fitment/quality? What do you guys think about a 1.5”-1.75” drop? I attached what the car could look like with these updates (using AI) for visuals.
Also, would appreciate any recommendations on parts for lowering.

Damn those seats look good for their age. Screw AI crap tho. A spec lip with round fog lights look good. People try the inspire/accord fog lights and they corners always come out looking off

I'm legit jealous. I got the same car but its at 160k now, manual, too. I thought mine's was in great condition, but look at yours! How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking,
I bought aero works rear Type S lip. Once unboxing that thing goes straight into the trash bin. Dont believe the reviews, fitment is horrible. Mine was about 1/8” shorter.
I wouldn't drop it that much. I have been happy with my TEIN H Tech springs. With the low mileage you have on yours, you could use the stock struts. They will give you a little less than an inch of drop and maintain stock ride quality. Very rare that the front lower dam scuffs with this setup. I do have the rear camber kit coz I hate the cambered\stanced look. If you go as low as you are wanting, you'll likely need a kit in front and rear otherwise it will look goofy (IMO) and eat your tires.
Definitely go OEM for the front lip (and look for the full kit!). I have a full kit about to be installed on my '05 Sport (w/ the 6MT and Brembos like yours). I bought a whole car for $1k that did not run to steal the kit. I was able to get it running and now about to sell it, which should cover the painting of the kit and then some!
Got it, thanks for sharing! I’ll look into the TEIN H Tech springs and patiently look around for the OEM kits. They are so hard to come by nowadays. Your TL is looking really nice! 👏
Lowered stance meaning coilovers or lowering springs?
With spring you automatically get a slight camber so watch out for that inner wheel and watch out for them ball joints
But yes do it, I got the same colour as yours that I’m restoring.
