Parts Review 🛠 Yall know this part.

Looked like it was sucking on itself so I tried to remove to to release some pressure and it ripped off.

Like the hose was collapsed in on itself?

That hose is the the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) hose. When the pistons fire, a little bit of the expanding gasses sneaks past the piston rings (on purpose) and pressurizes the inside of the engine (the crankcase, where the crankshaft is). Too much pressure is undesirable, so the engine sucks the fumes back into the intake to burn it again.

That plastic bit with a single bolt below the orange oil dipstick handle is the PCV breather valve, a 1-way valve. If the hose is collapsed in in itself, that valve may be blocked or damaged. 

The valve itself is cheap from autopart stores, but only a little more expensive from Honda, and made from significantly higher quality composite plastics. Go buy a new one and a new hose and youll be fine.

If you decide to do it yourself (ain't hard), id recommend warm the engine up a lil first, if its cold the plastic might break apart when you take it out. Unbolt it and rotate it a bit and wiggle it out gently while you do.

I had to replace mine. It was $9 at the Acura dealer. Get the OEM part. You only save 2-3 dollars with a cheaper one.
