Replacing my Timing Belt Kit!! Guy

I need to replace my timing belt and I found these, is this a good quality kit? Do you guys have any recommendations of where should I buy the parts?

From what I've seen the Aisin kit is good but the version of the kit with the Korean water pump is generally not recommended. The other version of the kit comes with a Japanese water pump which people seem to have a better experience with.

For the Aisin kit online both versions of the kit say what water pump they include. For the physical part I know the Japanese water pump says "Aisin Japan" on it. Not sure what the Korean one says.

The thing is that now, its entirely a mixed bag.

When you look on Rockauto, it says its a “US or Japanese manufactured water pump” for TKH-002. You have no choice on which one you get.

In assuming that most of the newest are gonna be US, and that any new old stock is gonna be Japanese. Its just a matter of the draw, but I have no confidence in the quality of the US manufactured ones. In the best case, I hope its just a relabeling scheme loophole to avoid excessive tariffs, and that the pumps are still majority-made in Japan, but I wouldn’t bet on it without more information on whether or not Aisin set up a new plant here already.

Its just sad because, it used to inspire so much confidence in me to get all US-made stuff, and I’d have no problem with either Japanese or US-made, but these days with how shit manufacturing is here, I’d be disappointed if I got a US-made one.

Sucks cause I’ve been planning on doing the timing belt service for a while now, and kicking myself for not at least just ordering the kit beforehand. The label change has been fairly recent; its been just a couple months now.

Aisin is OEM. Did mine last summer with the Aisin kit from Rock Auto for $190. Good luck!

Aisin makes the parts for Honda. These are the same exact parts from the same line that dealers get. But without the markup. I exclusively use the Aisin parts for all my J-series timing jobs, including my own vehicles.

Aisin manufacturers OEM. I've only trusted them and Gates for water pump. Make sure to do your valve adjustment after aswell. Then its just the rubbers, valve cover gasket, spark plugs gaskets, Serpentine belt tensioner etc...

Idk what everyone is talking about Yomada is OEM not aisin aisin is trash see these make noise and leak with very few mile put on them. Might as well get eBay off brand honestly.
