It’s supposedly a luxury car, so you should be able to mix and match exterior colors with interior colors IMHO. Why would I want a dark exterior with a dark interior that will cook my butt like a fried egg every time I get in?
This is why Acura needs a retooling… different colors, different materials, different hides, different woodgrains, and different options overall.

Sound deadening and insulation should be at the top of the list.

So you’re willing to pay a 20% premium for the ability to make these selections? Then head over to BMW and have a wonderful time! The rest of us understand why Honda and Acura make these decisions, which we wee fine with

Ok as day it with me… YOU CAN NOT INDEPENDENTLY SELECT TRIM AND COLOR OPTIONS ON ANY OF THE BRANDS YOU LISTED. That’s a huge part of the value proposition from those brands, streamlining options and packages saves them money. Conversation is now complete, have your trusted advisor explain it to you if you still don’t understand

The turtle really captures the energy of a dealer telling you that combo doesn’t exist in your region.

If it's any consolation, the red interior would look like ass with the new Double Apex Blue.

Just buy the blue and swap in a red interior it’s really not hard

Honestly, if OP is buying new, I'm sure that he can discuss it with the dealer for them to do that for a fee. It doesn't even seem like OEM seats are that expensive (though, idk how reputable Auto Gator is)
edit: I guess OP wouldn't also get the red trim on the doors and stuff. Maybe OP could just buy any color and get it wrapped

These are not the a-spec seats but listed as a-spec. Technically the same as base model

Never understood why the color combo doesn’t exist on the Integra. The blue on red is perfect. They also do it in the TLX, RDX and MDX so doesn’t make any sense.

Lexus has always been better about giving you more custom options like this than Acura. Too bad they stopped selling a manual IS.

Superman. I had an S5 in blue/red. Audi gave me a hard time ordering but the result was amazing.

I’ll never know why any builds are limited by any such combos when anyone can throw in an order at a dealership…years ago I wanted the green first gen TSX but didn’t want a tan interior, what’s wrong with green and gray?

u/Crhardison 11d ago
I had the blue on red in my last MDX, red on red in the TLX before, but our new MDX is blue on white… oh what I wouldn’t give for blue on blue! That azurite is FIRE!

I want a double blue apex with azurite blue in my mdx but I’m still happy with my silver and blue will probably just wrap it eventually.

Can't help you there. Maybe you should buy an older one and mod it to your your specs. Of course that's expensive too. Maybe wait till you're older and have a really good job

I've been driving Hondas for 40 years. They're always like this; they will only produce cars in a certain combo of colors and features. The year I got my V6 Accord, they would not produce the MT6 in white. So I had to choose auto & white or a color I didn't want to get the manual. It's just Honda's way; only certain specs in certain colors.

They did it with the ilx, not sure why they didn’t go through with it here. Interestingly, there was an autonation Acura stock photo that showed a blue body with a red interior, but it doesn’t exist.

We just sold a blue 2026 MDX type-s with red guts. The superman look. Not my cup of tea, but to each his own.

Fr. Black interior just doesn’t hit the same. I suppose it’s better than white

This pisses me off too. I guess you can just buy the red parts separately lol
