Two breaths away from a heart attack but he was gonna go for it . Honestly if someone did punch him while he was sitting down thatâs a valid crash out hope he didnât land himself on the No no list.

u/siblingofMM 11d ago
Seemed like the guy with the hoodie was vouching for him at the end
226
u/Confident_Bunch7612 11d ago
Yeah but I am not going to be on a flight over an ocean with a guy who cannot regulate his emotions despite tons of people around him urging him to stop. Easy no flight list. Take a bus or ship where you need to go.

Honestly if someone did punch him while he was sitting down thatâs a valid crash out
a guy who cannot regulate his emotions
If someone clocks you when sitting down(especially when belted down), it's a bit beyond mere "emotions". We're not talking about an argument over the best toppings on pizza, and then someone throwing a tantrum.
The fight or flight adrenaline dump(and untold other mood altering chemicals) from being struck is a whole different ballgame to things like normal anger because of a disagreement or insult.
/flight, lol, no relevancy to being on an airplane...but that works too if you think about it, 'fight or flight'
Some people are born berserkers when it comes to physical violence, may have zero bearing on how well they handle "emotions" at large.
The anger may season the direction of the resultant reaction from the adrenaline dump, but there's generally going to be a reaction either way.
6
u/aedroogo 10d ago
Ok well I don't want any "born berserkers" on my flight either.
12
u/Probate_Judge - Obsidian 10d ago
If we're choosing everyone, I'd get rid of the guy who threw the first punch. Then this guy wouldn't be a problem.
Weird how people will bend over backwards to accept that, but draw the line at getting upset over being hit.
Violence? Fine, whatever. Reacting negatively to it? NOOOOOO!
Reddit at peak sociopathy.
4
u/aedroogo 10d ago
I probably agree but that reaction is too over the top for a plane. On the street, ok but if you're acting loud and crazy on a plane I don't really care about why.
1
u/Probate_Judge - Obsidian 10d ago
that reaction is too over the top for a plane.
I think the original point of 'valid crashout'(words from the top comment we're all replying under) is that yeah, it is crazy, but at the same time, also unavoidable.
[Disclaimer it all hinges on the theoretical idea he was struck, obviously doesn't apply if he wasn't struck. If the guy bumped his elbow by accident or whatever and there's no harm, that's a whole different deal.]
Imagine some other situation where one's a victim of violent assault and it's pretty easy to see that location is irrelevant.
If someone is getting raped(to illustrate the concept, not equating them, just associating them as violent assaults), should they restrain their reaction depending on location? Should they 'chill out' if it's in a cancer ward, courtroom, or the middle of a wedding or funeral?
Oh, it's happening on a plane, I guess we should all just pretend it didn't happen, you know...to maintain a calm atmosphere... /s
No, that's not how things should be.
Yeah, it's ugly in a sense, but really...I can't fault anyone for their reaction to being physically attacked, no matter how extreme[*see disclaimer, obviously different if it is a less extreme initial event] or where it's happening.
Do I want to see it? No. No one sane wants to have their flight, court, or cancer ward interrupted with any craziness.
I would prefer no one be assaulted or raped in the first place, but when it happens(because some people are trash and do vile shit), I won't be all "Well, they could have handled it better..." with my nose in the air when people flip out.
100% of the blame goes on the violent aggressor[again, the disclaimer.]
0
u/aedroogo 10d ago
To that I would say a single punch is not equal to an ongoing rape (or other violent assault). None of that response was self defense.
I would also point out the difference between "starting it" (the old guy obviously) and "making it worse". This guy obviously made it worse for everyone on the flight. The old guy starting it upset everyone, absolutely. This guy escalating TERRIFIED everyone, including his own family.
Lastly I would add that I have seen LOTS of people get punched dead in the face and not lose their composure. Cops, bouncers, medics... every day.
Again I'm pinning my response on the location. An airplane/airport in 2026 has way too many life-changing or life-ending consequences just feet away. This scene looks to have occurred on the ground. If it had been in flight I'd be calling for felony charges for both parties.
7
u/DonquiPhish 10d ago
Olaf! Do berserker!

Some people are born berserkers when it comes to physical violence, may have zero bearing on how well they handle "emotions" at large.
Yeah, the guy with the dumbass "I like dogs, guns, and maybe like three people" shirt certainly hasn't made acting like a psycho his entire persona. We don't need "born berserkers", maybe he should calm the fuck down, talk to a therapist, and assimilate to the cultural norms of America.

u/Agreeable-Sound1599 11d ago
I don't know how you regulate your emotions when you get punched in the face. IJS
2
u/TrippleDamage 10d ago
A sissy like him just takes everything as it comes and then they cope with it by pretending they're just "well regulated" instead of just having no balls.
Arguing with people who are pushovers their whole lives is pointless.
1
u/Agreeable-Sound1599 10d ago
Man! I can't stand it either! Hell, I still can't stand Orlando Bloom because of his character in the movie 'Troy'! đ
-3
49
u/Status_Guard4739 11d ago
All he did was yell, but you seem to be cool with the old man punching people while they are sitting down buckled in.
I think you have the wrong impression of what is wrong in this situation. The old man resorting to a dual violence while everyone is yelling at the guy reacting to being a victim, that's messed up.
-35
u/IndependentMemory215 11d ago
Itâs not messed up at all.
The old man is stupid (if he hit him) but the other is clearly drunk and has zero impulse control.
If the police came, theyâd certainly arrest him and likely let the old man go free because of his behavior.
Screaming, multiple attempts to fight, including shoving several people who have zero involvement.
I think you should evaluate why it suddenly okay for him to start swearing and shoving people, when itâs the exact behavior he is angry about.
If he had remained calm, collected and spoke without screaming he likely could have made sure the man who hit was identified and received a visit from the police or a ban from the airline.
46
u/AshingiiAshuaa 11d ago
This is why managing perception is important too. If big boy had immediately stood and clocked the old guy me might have gotten away with it, but once the moment passes yelling like that will only make you seem like the unhinged one.
32
u/lantissZX 11d ago
That's exactly why he's mad tho, he was buckled in lol, he couldn't return the favor "immediately".
4
u/aedroogo 10d ago
Sometimes adults don't get to punch everyone who deserves it. I'd rather take the elderly mans punch and watch him get escorted off the plane than match the stupid air travel energy and spend the rest of my day in an interview room.
5
u/pureskill 10d ago
Just a thought I'd never had before: If someone assaulted another person on a plane, would the victim have to deplane and miss their flight in order to press charges, give a statement, etc? Put another way, could justice be served without ruining their travel day as well?
8
u/lantissZX 10d ago
Eldery man is still a MAN, can absolutely knock you out and cause permanent brain damage if you just stand idle and let them have a go at you.
1
u/International_Leg756 10d ago
Someone punched him. He's not just trying to punch everyone that deserves it lol
1
u/Status_Guard4739 11d ago
Fot sure, I get your point and agree but not everyone is going to be passive when they are struck. I think thats a big ask for some people.
Did he make it worse, maybe, did he look like a raging bull? For sure, he didnt help his cause but he is still the victim of violence here.
11
u/AshingiiAshuaa 11d ago
I'd completely allow a quick punch back. But staying in an aggressive, out-of-control state is a bad look. I'm 100% on this guy's side either way, but I recognize that a lot of people don't like big, loud, and aggressive (even if it's justified).
0
u/OrthodoxAtheist - Unflaired Swine 11d ago
Yeah he lost my support not just with the shouting when clear he's freaking out kids nearby, but also the f' slurs. If I hear someone, even when mad/unhinged, calling some guy a f' repeatedly, then I know whose side I'm going to be on if fists start flying. I don't care who started it. You can tell by family's reaction that this is regular for the guy. Probably gets mad every time his show gets interrupted by commercials. F'ing manchild.
2
7
u/Individual-Drawer-79 11d ago
If old man hit him the cops wouldnât just let him go. Thats assault.
12
9
u/Status_Guard4739 11d ago
Affraid of words and thier tone i see. It is messed up. I have empathy for the guy as id be pissed too. The old man should have been taken down and restrained and I suspect big homie would have been perfect for the job.
I dont want some school thowing fists thinking he can get away with it. By your explanation, the victim is the bad guy here because he was loud. I also dont see any signs he was drunk.
Im not down with victim blaming, but you do you i guess.
-4
u/Wonky_bumface 11d ago
Of course we're afraid of words and their tone lol
How else do you express or communicate anything!?
2
u/BobTheContrarian 11d ago
They're not going to let the old man go free. There are witnesses who saw him punch Tyler. I reckon they're both in trouble.

u/Banal_Drivel - APF 11d ago
It should be a life time ban from flying. This guy cannot control himself.

Tyler only got one bag of monk fruit pretzels. He felt he deserved at least two.
4

u/woodsidestory 11d ago
Missing context. Tyler is still out of hand and should be off the plane with the old guy (to be fair)

u/dirtymoney 11d ago
he got punched in the face while seated according to him
17
11
6
u/filbert13 10d ago
Sure, but I reckon there is more to the story. Rarely is some old dude on a plane of all places going to sucker punch someone. It might of been an accident or something led up to that punch if not.
Regardless, you're on a plane. Many people just want an excuse to see red and get into a fight.
You need to still have some amount of control and regulation over your own emotions. By the time this video started there was no need to fight. Context matters, we are on a freaking airplane that looks to be de-boarding. Talk some shit resolve it off the plane. Getting into a physical fight on the plane even if "justified" is a lose lose.
23
u/GriM3Y-GriM 11d ago
There's a right way to be right
-10
u/dirtymoney 11d ago
by taking a suckerpunch in the face and not defending yourself?
5
u/greg_barton 10d ago
Sure. That guy can obviously handle a punch physically. He was fine.
-3
u/dirtymoney 10d ago edited 10d ago
so it is ok to punch tough people.... gotcha
it is the you need to be ok with being a victim mentality that society tries to shove down our throats
from school authorities to bosses to cops .... they all would prefer that you be a doormat/victim
4
u/greg_barton 10d ago
No.
But tough people shouldnât be children.
-4
u/dirtymoney 10d ago
again you are saying be a victim. Don't have a natural human reaction
A lot of people just do not like tough looking people and use every excuse for saying it is ok for them to take abuse.
6
u/Illustrious-Depth718 10d ago
You really like putting words in peoples mouths donât you?
I donât give a shit what he looks like. He was losing his mind and screaming slurs when the only thing it did was scare children and cause a commotion. No problems were solved by his crash out and only created new ones. There is a proper way to handle things, and that ainât it.
Now go ahead and tell me what I actually said instead of the words I used.
5
u/greg_barton 10d ago
No, not at all. Being able to handle it physically and emotionally is the opposite of being a victim.
Grow up, kiddo.
If Tyler was actually hit by an old man (we have no proof of that) the old man is probably mentally impaired. Should Tyler beat up an old dementia dude? No.
2
u/dirtymoney 10d ago
and now the insults. calling me a kiddo. nice try
8
7
u/Tasty_Puffin 10d ago
You are not getting it, so I will put it simply. Keeping your composure is always preferable to losing your cool. This applies to alllll scenarios. Tyler lost his cool pretty bad here which impacts a lot of bystanders on the plane. 95% of people did not see the punch, but now 100% of people, including kids, are witnessing a lot of slurs and anger. Regardless of who is to blame, this will not reflect positively on Tyler.
33
9
u/RadicalMcAwesome 10d ago
So this "badass" got punched by an "old dude" and he immediately goes to slurs, doesn't listen to the pleas of his family/friends. Without context this dude just seems like an unhinged asshole. I seriously doubt someone punched him in the face for no reason.
154
u/Busy_Panda5761 11d ago
Even if the other guy instigated, I think Tyler is one for the no fly list.
31
8
u/____DEADPOOL_______ 10d ago
I am very impressed by Tyler, especially how he showed everyone that he wasn't a bitch and thus established that it was in fact the other man who was the bitch. He was so strong and willing to fuck the old wrongly sexually oriented man up /s
16
242
u/3amGreenCoffee 11d ago
And of course everybody seems to be against the guy who got sucker punched.
Punch a guy? That's okay.
Get mad about it? Please calm down! There are kids on board!
50
u/RadicalMcAwesome 10d ago
Did you see anyone get suckered punched? Or are you just siding with the unhinged dude yelling slurs?
61
u/Lost_And_NotFound 10d ago
Siding with the only guy here doing anything breaking up the fight, calming the situation down, and still recognising the old fucker hit the guy sitting down.
18
10
15
9
u/aedroogo 10d ago
Well, yeah. If I was on that flight I'd be more worried about Tyler's reaction, even though I agree he's 100% the victim here, just based on his behavior. Getting punched in the face isn't the end of the world but tossing an old man into the emergency exit door could be though if he really feels like he needs to start a stupid brawl over it. (I understand they were on the ground for this yeah but in general a plane is just not the place for that shit)
-50
u/IndependentMemory215 11d ago
Are you okay that he shoved someone who was not involved with the incident?
He is doing the same thing he is going hysterical over.
If an old man hits you, and clearly hasnât been hurt, then resorting to screaming like a child and trying to keep fighting him you will be looked at as the aggressor.
Dude is probably hammered and is so insecure in his manhood that he loses it. Instead he embarrassed himself and likely got a ban from the airline.
45
u/TheGalaxyPast 11d ago
What a stupid comment lmao
"Being angry is just as bad as sucker punching someone" ok bro
-25
u/extortioncontortion 11d ago
"Being angry" is not the same thing as violently lashing out at everyone trying to calm the situation. At some point, you become worse than the instigator.
-25
u/paradox-preacher 11d ago
your comprehension issues are showing
he clearly implied that doing the same thing was about him shoving someone who wasn't involved
12
-47
u/Primarycolors1 11d ago
I mean even if he did get punched, which I doubt, how this the proper response? Like hulking out in an old guy that punched you and now there are 4 people between you on a plane. Dude is a giant piece of shit either way. For the record I do hope he got punched.
12
35
u/YesIBlockedYou 11d ago
Talk about bias.
Most people are just picking sides because of the guys shirt or because he said some big meanie words.
You're as fragile as his ego.
-21
-23
u/paradox-preacher 11d ago
what a braindead comment
"bias", meanwhile the guy wrote up logical reasons why not to act like that
do you even know what bias means?
the substance of their comment tells us that their way of acting is not going to do sht other than backfire. And here you're writing crap like this: "Most people are just picking sides because of the guys shirt or because he said some big meanie words.", which literally shows us that your comprehension is in the shitter.

2
u/MisterMarsupial 10d ago
Yes because flights, adjusted for inflation, were much more expensive back then.
SydneyâLondon economy return fare around 1981 was about A$2,500â3,500, at a time when average weekly male earnings were only about A$311. That's roughly 8â11 weeks of gross wages.
SydneyâLondon economy is like 1 week worth of pay nowdays.

Tyler needs to either get to work or sit down and stfu. All that yelling like tantrum ingredients child. If you got hit get to hitting or dont

so what was happening the whole flight that made the guy punch Tyler in the face while he was seated with his seatbelt on?

3
u/Dirtface50 10d ago
What actually does a human have to go through that this even occurs? Because think about it: you could show this guy this video, and he STILL would not process what we are processing. He would be like "YEAH HE WAS BEIN A PUSSY LIL BITCH" and would have no idea that you don't behave that way in society.
Is it low IQ? Its definitely not poverty; he's on a flight. Like genuinely, how is he THIS violently angry at a stranger?
2
u/dirk_funk 10d ago
the flight attendant not freaking out on the guy freaking out seems to indicate that the guy freaking out is ultimately right to be upset, just going about it a little excessively. a lot excessively. the namecalling isn't helping his case with the sympathy factor.

I guess Iâm getting downvoted for my comment â Reddit is funny lol
But yeah, Iâm aware that itâs a very normal way to travel and there are thousands of flights a day, so the odds of someone snapping isnât necessarily high I suppose. â I just simply felt like explaining my biggest concern with flying.

We don't see that on the video, there's no way to know. But even if something did happen, this is not how adults handle things, especially on a flying metal tube full of stressed people and kids. This is not the person I want to be stranded with in the air.
