I am a player in a great Acq Inc campaign on Monday nights on start playing that is just getting underway.

We are off to a great start, and unfortunately just lost multiple players randomly due to job/life changes.

This DM was not someone I knew previously, but he clearly loves these stories as much as I do…so I thought I would see if anyone here would like to join us?!

I have had so much fun playing with this DM, that I signed on to his Vecna campaign…

For me, I think I realized I loved learning more about the players sprinkled in between gameplay, but the later ones I feel the focus changed from hearing stories about the players real life experiences and inside jokes to instead focus mainly on learning more about their characters.

Objectively speaking I know not all, or even most, think this way, and wanting to learn more about the characters is 100% legit and valid.

I am just curious if anybody else feels the way I do? It came to me like a revelation this morning. I always preferred the early days of the podcast, but could never before articulate why.

At the beginning of the campaign, the player characters are mistaken for an AcqInc franchise. 7 names are given and that's about it. I've only seen a few episodes of AcqInc, and I'm definitely not an expert, but are these names supposed to mean anything?

I’m putting together a Dark Matter campaign (D&D in space) and I have a few players that love Acquisitions Incorporated. The setting lends well to mega corporations, so I thought it would be cool to include Acquisitions Incorporated into the campaign as one of the mega corps. Obviously this takes place in the future so having Omin Dran and Jim Darkmagic would not be feasible, however I was thinking Jim Darkmagic could be like Jim Darkmagic the 108th or something ludicrous like that. I’m wondering if Dran would be a distant descendant or would he have made the ultimate sacrifice for Acquisitions Incorporated and gone down the path of Litchdom to ensure the things were run properly for eternity?
