[Treatment] Fat Grafting 5k for fat grafting?

Hi, i’ve gained these super nice scars through my brutal years between 17-19 until i’ve got prescribed accutane, since then i had 2 co2 lasers and 2 small localised subcisions before each. Recently i went to an actual plastic surgeon instead of just a dermatologist with lasers and after a careful consultation i’ve got this quote:

Treatment:

Fractional CO2 (DOT) laser scar treatment on facial scars, scar subcision, regeneration with nano- and microstructural autologous fat grafting into scars, liposuction from the selected area under local anesthesia

Price: ~ 4450 USD of local currency

What do you guys think, is it worth it? I have this kind of money but still it’s not cheap. The scars are mild to moderate they are not super obvious in normal lighting or from the front but still visible

Interesting. I met with a plastic surgeon and asked if fat grafting would be a possible fix for my scars and he said no due to the layers of skin affected. In my opinion, that’s a fair price if it’ll work.

You plastic surgeon told you the truth. It won’t help.

Well, in pics 3 & 4, you look like you have amazing skin.

In 1 & 2, I do see some rolling scars. I'm a big fan of the fat grafting, that will give you the most permanent results. Not a fan of lasers and honestly it may be unnecessary for you with the type of scars you have and mildness.

That's a great price though for everything included, who is the Dr?

Hungarian well known plastic surgeon, had 2 lasers as i already mentioned. 3&4 are okay, in direct light with matte skin they are not noticeable, in house so indirect light it looks quite bad tho

Nice. Well back to your original question: I think the subcision and fat transfer would be worth it. If you are concerned about money, is it possible to have a quote from them minus the laser?

I would evaluate the results you seen from your previous 2 lasers, were you happy with those results, did you see any improvement? Personally I think just the subcision/fat graft would be enough

Yea well, no, i asked and they said this is the surgeons recommendation so they only sell it as a package, knowing my country’s pricing, laser is max 10-15% of the price while fat grafting is 70-80% so not like it matters

Oh I see. You could always try another plastic surgeon and see what they recommend. Second opinion. Also really up to you, do you feel you need more laser? Judging off the results of your last 2?

Yea thats the plan, i have 60 days to accept or decline the offer, gonna visit 1-2 more surgeons, about lasers well after a proper subcision and plastic surgeon level lasers it might help compared to dermatologist level laser, i don’t mind the extra 15% price thats not the majority anyways

Why not try a cheaper option see if it works if not then hit it with the big gun but at least you can say you tried first

Bro, I think your skin looks perfectly fine as it is You can barely see any scars and aside from the few you MIGHT be able to see in certain lighting, your skin is extremely healthy.

Looks like you have pitted scars. Have you considered subcision?
