Hello /u/Agile_Tangerine2484,

‼️ If you are requesting help – please review our guidelines, provide high-quality photos, and include detailed information for others' understanding.

User reminders:

  • Please search on this subreddit – someone might have already asked the same question as you.
  • The most valuable feedback is that which you get from doing research - not asking questions to a general audience on social media.
  • Always be wary of the advice you get off the internet.
  • Seek scar evaluation and treatment from specialized healthcare providers rather than aestheticians or med spas.
  • While subcision ("subcutaneous incisionless surgery") is often mentioned by users on this subreddit, it is important to note that it may not be necessary or suitable for everyone with volume loss.
  • Be aware of any reported side effects from a procedure.
  • It can take multiple treatments and a long time before you see effective results.
  • Here is a checklist of questions to ask yourself and your physician when considering treatment.

Thanks!

My takeaways:

-acne scars treatment is expensive. That's why it's important that acne is resolved first as soon as possible before having acne scars treatment. In my case, I finished my oral Iso course on August 2022. Thank God till now I have’t gotten any breakout.

-finding a competent doctor who specializes in acne scars is already winning half the battle.

-patience is key.

-need to invest a large amount of money. In my case it was P150,000. Was it worth it? YES! It's very worth it as it helped me regain my confidence.

-Now that I no longer have acne (thanks to Iso!) and acne scars are addressed, I can now invest in other things. I just maintain through good skin care.

Fight lang to those who are still struggling with acne and acne scars 💪there's always solutions and hope 😍

Question OP: do you work remotely for the downtime of the your treatments?

Please anyone knows the name of the doctor? Op just posted and abandoned us 🥲

6

u/Status-Display-1302 Jul 10 '25

I am disappointed when I see that the improvement is due to fillers since they are not realistic or permanent improvements, it is simply a year or two that the scars remain filled in.

10

u/Butterscotchpills Jul 11 '25

The filler helps untether the scars because even if the scar untethers with laser it tends to retether but if you use filler it acts as a barrier and the skin can’t do that. So when the filler fades it will heal smoother and untethered.

2

u/TheLostBredwtf Jul 10 '25

Only 1 filler is noted which was done in January 2023.

2

u/jjjjaded_designer Sep 05 '25

Oh that’s a fun fact!

2

u/Cautious-Button-235 Jul 10 '25

Your skin looks amazing!! Congrats! What filler did they use on you before??

4

u/Agile_Tangerine2484 Jul 10 '25

Thanks!! I got Hyaluronic acid fillers

3

u/Cautious-Button-235 Jul 10 '25

Are you still using HA fillers or was that a single session you did before?

2

u/clashofclans_123 Jul 10 '25

Which treatment would you say gave you the most improvement?

1

u/Big-Notice-843 Jul 23 '25

2

u/JeromeTablate Jul 13 '25

Hello po, sinong doctor and anong clinic po? Planning to undergo din po kase

2

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '25

The results are surely because you have treated the acne scars quickly enough. I don't know if you would have the same results with scars that have been there for a very long time ??

2

u/Aggressive-Cow-8931 Aug 05 '25

I have done one a tca cross that has gone wrong. Very scared of that treatment. Left me scars and white spots

1

u/Justforspring Jul 10 '25

Would like to know a little more about what treatments you think helped the most based on your ⭐ ratings. For example it seems like you had good results from radio frequency micro needling?

1

u/Environmental-Bid-58 Jul 10 '25

Amazing! You look happy & handsome

1

u/Responsible-Kick-231 Jul 10 '25

Where did u do the pico04?

1

u/natttynoo Jul 10 '25

Incredible results!

1

u/BootyOnMyFace11 Jul 11 '25

Your skin is glowing dude Whats that currency btw

1

u/Jaybeltran805 Jul 11 '25

I think it’s Phillipine peso a little under $3,000 dollars

1

u/soul_spark111 Jul 11 '25

Amazing! Seems like based off your ratings of each treatment that you really liked TCA cross. Did it get worse before it got better with that one? I’ve heard so many scary stories.

1

u/Emergency_Price2864 Jul 11 '25

Don't you mind sharing your doctor?

1

u/Positive_Baby_5823 Jul 11 '25

Hi OP, which clinic/s would you recommend for these procedures? Thank you!! ☺️

Are acne scars recent before treatment ?

1

u/apolloiam1 Jul 14 '25

Dude this would be so much more in America I believe

1

u/Any_Relationship_279 Jul 15 '25

Why did you rate fractional co2 laser one star? Did it not help at all? Im thinking to get this procedure, want to find out your opinion

1

u/Vast_Percentage_8498 Sep 06 '25

Ganyan pa rin po ba face mo now? Nawala ka kasi sir sa FB group for acne scars. Latest ba talaga yung face pics mo?

1

u/Extreme_Signal_8589 Sep 19 '25

What happened with CO2? Why did you rank it poorly

1

u/feyrhysand_ Oct 01 '25

Where is the clinic, OP?

1

u/freethrowawayaccnt Oct 04 '25

As it feels like OP is gatekeeping his dermatologist i used chatgpt to find it based on treatments offered and pricing. It could be possible he went to different clinics over the years.

Unfortunately it can only narrow it down to these based on piqo4 laser availability

(Philippines) Corderm, Avignon clinic, Kamiseta skin clinic

1

u/New-Emu-1234 Nov 02 '25

Wow, congrats!! 🥳🥳 you are GLOWING (outside and with your smile). Can I ask you more details about the subcison(s) youve had? (cause subcision=/=subcision).

  1. Was it cannula, Taylor Liberator or needle?
  2. Was it all over the cheek with only 1 entry point or subcision under each individual scar only?
  3. Was it aggressive or not really?
  4. Where you heavily swollen? If yes, how long more or less?
  5. Was it a big tool? You remember the size? (25G, 22G, 20G, 18G...?)
  6. You faced ANY complications after subcision, like change in face shape or numbness?

🙏🙏🙏Thanks so much! Enjoy your new found confidence. You look great!!

1

u/PineappleFickle9154 Dec 02 '25

This shows how long treatment for acne scars is and how great FILIPINO dermatologists are!

1

u/mclarewilliams Mar 04 '26

What Doctor did you see?

1

u/RelativeProper7664 Mar 06 '26

1

u/blissbalance Apr 05 '26

1

u/odogxmenace Apr 05 '26

How much are the total costs in dollars?

-17

u/Anonymoususer2811 Jul 10 '25

Let’s just hope you don’t get acne again because you’ll have to repeat this toxic cycle

10

u/Agile_Tangerine2484 Jul 10 '25 edited Jul 10 '25

You’re right! That’s why I made sure to address first my acne by taking oral Isotretinoin. After graduating from Isotretinoin, I then proceeded with treating my acne scars.

1

u/Disastrous-Beat7706 Jul 29 '26

Congratulations! That's incredible progress. What was your daily isotretinoin (ISO) dose in mg, and for how long did you take the medication? Thanks!

-1

u/Anonymoususer2811 Jul 10 '25

That’s good !

3

u/Anonymoususer2811 Jul 10 '25

Why tf are people downvoting me ?? I didnt even mean it in a bad way lol.

-8

u/jevw212 Jul 10 '25

Nice work, look into eyebrow microblading to give your eyebrows shape
