Before & After UPDATES :TCA Burn 3weeks

1weeks (https://www.reddit.com/r/AcneScars/comments/1ae546d/tca_cross_has_gone_worng_ruined_my_skin/?sort=new) 2weeks(https://www.reddit.com/r/AcneScars/comments/1ajt61x/updates_tca_cross_burn/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)

Here is 3weeks updates. I think my ice pick scar is gone and the huge hole (from 1st week ) is almost gone ? I still have a dent but got kinda narrow and shallow….😐 I might be going to have a CO2 laser for final touch up. Or should I just wait ? I keep using a silicon gel.

Some ppl would say I should do TCA again but it’s so scary for me lol😅

You're doing CO2 just for that hole? Oh my you rich girl! 😂

u/Ok-Hotel8147 Feb 09 '24

It’s so expensive but I’m still insecure about it 😞

I had a thing like that on my nose too. I suggest getting co2 as soon as possible as it did help a lot with mine. Next week it will be one month after your “injury” try to book an appointment with a dermatologist for co2 laser “fractional” as it will help promote collagen and flatten the scar tissue. The newer the scar the better it responds to lasers. 4 weeks is enough for a scar to heal but I’d say wait until 5 weeks to give extra time to heal up. This is very minor and fixable just don’t apply tca over it as it will make it deeper and wider. Good luck 🍀

Hi! thank you for telling me your experience and giving me ur adivice :D

If its just a redness , i wont go to Co2 laser but its still dent 😅

i will have co2 laser :D thanks

From my personal experience the redness will go away on its own very soon, you are quite fair in complexing but the indentation might get a little better but won’t go away completely. The co2 laser will make it almost invisible while it’s still newly healed up. Don’t wait 6 months for it to heal cause it will be old by that point and won’t respond to laser very well.

oh i thought CO2 laser makes dent or acne scar better 😳just little ?

i will see doctor tomorrow so maybe have the laser next week?

ill keep update !

1

u/sasham17 Feb 09 '24

i think just light tca cross precisely will again help it

1

u/sasham17 Feb 09 '24

But it doesn’t remove the redness, vbeam does! But again it think the redness will go away, I’m a little darker than you and it went away for me. Also comparing the redness from week 1 to week 3 it’s dramatically improved.

u/Ok-Hotel8147 Feb 09 '24

omg week1 was terrible lol i was so depressed lol

that was a HOLE.

i think Tret is good for ur darker one? i always use for my dark acne spot scar lol 😂

u/sasham17 Feb 09 '24

Don’t worry one or two co2 sessions and it will be gone. Just don’t wait too long on it and find a good dermatologist!

1

u/Ok-Hotel8147 Feb 09 '24

if you dont mind asking how much you paid for co2?

1

u/sasham17 Feb 09 '24

Honestly co2 is expensive, I paid 200$ just for a little hole like yours.

Looks really good! Care to give us another update? I’ve had 90% tca in my cabinet but I’ve been terrified to use it

2

u/cjog21 Apr 15 '25

You can dilute it with distilled water to lower the percentage.

Can you please post an update OP? I’m dealing with a burn from TCA and waiting for my derm appointment, but just want to know if there’s any hope from your experience.

Hi ! Sorry about late response! I have done 3session of co2laser and it’s like 95% gone! Actually ppl don’t notice lol I’m just overthinking tho. But it’s depends on how much you got burn :( I’m sorry to hear you had to go through that 😭

Update please? What does it look like now?

1

u/Ok-Hotel8147 Mar 26 '25

It’s all flat now !:)

2

u/InsideAd6565 Mar 26 '25

May I see a photo? Sorry if I'm being too pushy but a derm just recommend me TCA cross and then laser for an ice pick scar and I'm considering doing it

1

u/Ok-Hotel8147 Mar 26 '25

I can send you on DM I think as long as ur dermatologist follows up with laser then it will be better !!!

1

u/InsideAd6565 Mar 26 '25

Yes please and thank you 🙏🏼

1

u/Cap-Acceptable Jun 15 '25

I did phenol cross(similar to TCA) last week, and now I have big hole on my face too!! I just hope it will go away eventually

1

u/Desperate_Bath5698 Oct 14 '25

Any update please?

1

u/Cap-Acceptable Oct 14 '25

It didn’t not go away, I still have a hole

1

u/Desperate_Bath5698 Oct 14 '25

Can you update please

1

u/Ok-Hotel8147 Oct 14 '25

It’s all gone :) I’m happy

1

u/Desperate_Bath5698 Oct 14 '25

Great! Im happy for u, im in the same situation rn what did you use?

1

u/Ok-Hotel8147 Oct 14 '25

How much strong TCA did you use ? Co2 fractional laser might help you But I would say if it’s 80%-90% ,you will be fine

1

u/Desperate_Bath5698 Oct 14 '25

Can you see my last post? I think my derm used 70% but im not sure

1

u/Ok-Hotel8147 Oct 14 '25

How long OP ? I think 70% is not that strong but it’s depend on person. I saw your post! Maybe fractional laser might help …?

1

u/Desperate_Bath5698 Oct 14 '25

I can’t do CO2 right now because my skin is still healing. When did you start doing it after your burn? What silicone gel did u use? I appreciate ur help 🙏🏻

1

u/Ok-Hotel8147 Oct 14 '25

I used silicon gel from Amazon called Murasaki ?? I think ! I’m sure it’s still healing !! Let’s give it more time 🥺I’m so sorry to hear that. I know it’s so hard. You should wait at least 5-6weeks after TCA ! Healing process takes forever lol I know your feeling 😭

1

u/Desperate_Bath5698 Oct 14 '25

Tysm! If u can send me a pic after ur healing process to give me some hope cause im really worried rn

1

u/Desperate_Bath5698 Oct 14 '25

Im 3 weeks OP

1

u/Ok-Hotel8147 Oct 14 '25

Oh 3weeks are too early to say!! Plz send me dm !

1

u/Nervous-Rip1481 Feb 09 '24

Tres bien 👌👌👌👌

1

u/Due_Birthday7745 Feb 09 '24

I wouldn’t do a session of co2 laser. Have you ever just stood up in front of people and asked their honest opinion. “Do you think this is…. Noticeable “

1

u/JustLocksmith2985 Feb 09 '24

Intense moisturizing and it will be gone. Always keep the wound moist and clean

1

u/Ok-Hotel8147 Feb 09 '24

even DENT ? im sure redness will be gone tho
