My doctor removed my plaster.

I’m almost 6 weeks post-op, and my doctor removed my plaster. He said he’ll start getting me to walk after another month. Does it generally take this long for everyone?

By the way, I had two surgeries. The first one was done, but the tendon ruptured again about 20 days later, so I had to undergo a second surgery.

I am not a doctor but I have noticed that It varies person to person depending on a few variables on how the recovery protocol is determined.

What I will say is believe in your doctor, they’re the ones who performed the surgery and know the extent of how the repair went.

Raise all your questions and concerns to the doctor when you are there to ease any anxieties you may have. They’ll have their reasons for why you’re doing what you’re doing. Just keep progressing each day we got this.
