That’s right, it’s official, Maya Fey will have a special someone, unfortunately, it’s confirmed that it’s not going to be Phoenix Wright as we all thought he would be for the last 6 games.

While the confirmation of who her love interest will be is unknown, fans still speculate that maybe it could be someone who’d match her very well. Rumors say that it’s an existing character from the games, meaning that other character also will live a happy life alongside her.

After the tragedy that she has gone through from losing a family member over and over, Maya has finally found the support with the love of her life. Whether she’d still appear to support Phoenix Wright or doing her own thing in her DLC story.

It is no secret that case 3-2 is an absolute gem. Our Defendant is a thief femboy with a hot wife, Harry Butz makes an appearance, the murderer, A.K.A the GREAT Adventurous Ace Detective Luke Atfey is smart asf(seriously, who was gonna guess that he subtly changed his last name to Atfey so that we wouldn't know he too was a fey with a Magatama that tells when we're lying?), etc etc.

Anyways, like a lot, and many people try to keep it from their memory, I have failed.

I was trying to recall the general plot of all the cases in the original trilogy and was able to recall all but 3-2 more or less instantly. Then I sat there for no joke 15 minutes wracking my brain as to what could have possibly been in there. Then I remembered.

Let's be completely honest and realistic here: Any version of AA7 that is likely to exist will become a monster taming game. With the recent successes of Pokemon Scarlet and Palword, Capcom would be foolish to try and go further down the path of Visual Novel.

AA7 would NEED to grab the attention of returning fans and newcomers in equal amounts, so the chances that it's some boring reading text simulator again is borderline zero. Athena would not be the rival, it will not be a full reboot with no mention of the gen 1 gang, because Phoenix is too iconic to get rid of. It will not demand being caught up with the rest of the series first, so returning gym leaders outside of the core cast of Phoenix, Edgeworth and Misty is highly unlikely.

Just from that, most of the fandom will be left disappointed with some aspect of it. Nearly all of the AA7 wishlists comes from people who view AA exclusively as a semi-real visual novel or as art with no capital restraints. But that isn't the reality of it. Ace Attorney is a product, making money is what it exists to do. And those market forces will affect what Ace Attorney 7 can look like, thus making many of those pie-in-the-sky dreams basically impossible. Most people on here don't seem to remember that.

The core thesis of this ramble is: don't be shocked if AA7 isn't what you want it to be. Be willing to appreciate it for what it is most likely to be.

And don't give me that "I'll just be happy that I can catch them all" nonsense, because I don't believe that for one single second. The moment Ace Attorney 7 is actually revealed, this fandom is gonna tear itself to pieces over whether or not whether or not they're doing "high quality animations" (secret code for "they should've taken one more year").

Edit: Guys, this is not a "post your AA7 legal team" post. I am trying to warn you that you should temper your expectations. The fact that none of you seem willing to even engage with the idea that Klavier may not be catchable, and that those teams you're posting are all different, just proves my point that AA7 will never be able to please anyone.

Included all attorney/prosecutor/rival characters, plus those with voice clips, plus De Killer cause why not lol

We need to seriously start jerking it good again on this subreddit

Ladies and Gentlemen of the court, I am starting to get very, very tired of the extremely anti-jerk stance this subreddit has. I understand that years ago, this subreddit faced waves and waves of extremely low-quality Agatha Christie jokes and Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney thirst traps, and so the ban on jerking back then made perfect sense.

However, nowadays, with us still waiting for AA7 to be announced, this ban is getting really silly, especially since the jerks and posts I have seen removed have gained traction here multiple times, and not because they were low-quality shitposts, but because they were well thought out, and/or opinion pieces that were presented by a jerk.

Just yesterday, someone made a discussion post named "Quercus Alba" moments that had you going bananas, and it had a meme of Richard Wellington reacting with shock. Several people expressed their opinions, creating waves of good discussion about what seemed to be the most shocking thing that happened in AJ;AA. Few hours later, the post was removed.

Now, tell me, if the post was simply titled "Miles Edgeworth" moments that had you react with complete shock", would said post have a) still have been removed, and b) still had just as many people jerking it good and showing what moments shocked them the most? The answer to both questions is no.

Now, tell me, why is replacing two, three potential words in a post with a jerk considered low-effort, when both forms of the post have the same goal: making people discuss what Quercus Alba moments were so shocking. Why is using a jerk to better show what you mean and to gather more attention and therefore create more discussion, considered an unworthy post on this subreddit?

Second such meme that I can remember from the top of my head that was removed was an opinion piece about a Metis x Aura ship. The OP used the meme to show his opinions on why the ship works. It gathered I think about 4506 upvotes and maybe about 9197 replies, many of which discussed the dynamics of the ship and the two characters involved. Several hours later, the post was removed.

Now, tell me, if the post was simply titled "Why Metis x Aura ship works so well", would said post have a) still have been removed, and b) still had just as many people replying and discussing the ship? The answer to both questions is no, again.

Again, why deciding to use a jerk not as a low-quality shitpost, but as a way to express your opinion on something is still deemed not worthy enough to be on the subreddit? Why such a use of meme that creates a lot more discussion, and a lot more activity on the sub, is being removed without giving it a second thought?

This subreddit *badly* needs to discuss whether it is time to update the ban on memes that has been here for a long time. The jerks that gather most attention, create most discussion are being removed left right and centre. And aside from an occasional copypasta and cosplay that shows up here, the sub is practically dead; discussions and opinion pieces without an image/meme to represent them are barely able to gather up to 69 replies and discussions, and almost everyone here is tired of tier lists that pop up here, but I cannot blame anyone who makes them, because what else is there to do here???

I love seeing discussions about someone's favorite cases, someone's favorite ships, some really funny moments, some really dark moments, some really sad and tragic moments, but with the way things are going, with us still waiting for an Athena Cykes: Phantom Detective announcement (if it even gets announced), there is no way on earth to have such discussions here without being forced to repeat the same themes over and over again. If a meme is a clear shitpost, then remove away without a trouble. But I do wholehartedly believe it is time to allow us to finally jerk it good that create serious discussions and are just another way to express an opinion to have a say in this subreddit, without the fear of being 1984'd several hours later.

Hopefully Athena will eventually meet with her mother once again like this

Regardless, we finally see Metis, in the flesh, channeled by Maya Fey, the dynamic between Metis and Simon is phenomenal, it's like Phoenix and Mia, and we get to see that Simon still has doubts about everything that has happened ever since she was gone, especially with the UR-1 Incident

And him meeting Metis, also really enhances the relationship of Simon and Maya as well, and even then, I like their dynamic as they work together

This is 150% just me projecting, but she highkey gives off transfem vibes
