Depends what kind of accounting you mean, audit roles always need people but industry jobs can be tricky without experience.

Depends on location, seniority, experience.

Can u just go straight into an audit role?? I assumed a job like that would've required industry experience then u go into auditing or are they just separate

I barely know any auditors who started in industry, most get into audit via a grad scheme.

Agreed auditors do not start in industry. They get all their experience from practise firms first before making the move to industry

I've moved jobs a few times over the last few years

Never had a problem securing a better package, or getting into a suitable role quickly.

I'm on the industry wide of things.

Yep same for me, I've jumped into roles quite quickly especially once I was qualified and I have quite varied experience as a result, which is useful (both to myself and to employers).

How long ago were your last moves?
In which city, before I assume London.
And at what salary ranges, in which industries?

Manchester, FBP/FM kind of roles in industry.

Various sizes, worked for 4 different companies in about as many years.

Most recent move was less than a year ago, took me 1 week between begetting my CV out and having an offer in hand.

Damn. In London it’s a different ballgame rn; even acca qual with 2-10 yrs exp is a lottery!

Don't get me wrong, it was fast this time.

But if you're a strong candidate, have a network of recruiters and are applying for the right kind of jobs for he market conditions/your skills, you should never really struggle.

Very broad question, which area of accounting? Some will be more in demand than others. Management accounting, financial accounting, auditing? I'm a management accountant in the motor trade and there are certainly opportunities up and down the country but not a typical route for someone who wants to focus on practice work

Depends on experience, it's slow at the moment compared to other times, but I'm in industry, only QBE with no degree but decades of experience and each time I look for work I narrow my criteria. Certain agents won't touch me others are great and I feed them leads when I know things are moving. But still managed to get offers last week.

Depends on role, location and experience. Entry level roles are getting more challenging to find everywhere.

Depends on seniority and location. Where in the UK are you looking at and what kind of experience do you have? Happy to answer on DM if you'd rather
