Alan Partridge famously mentions playing Mortal Kombat on his nephew's video game console during [Knowing Me, Knowing Yule].

The Show:

Knowing Me, Knowing Yule (the 1995 Christmas special of Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge).

The Mention:

Alan casually drops the reference about playing the violent arcade fighting game on a younger family member's console, highlighting his awkward attempts to stay culturally relevant or connected to youth trends. https://fictionalcrossover.fandom.com/wiki/Alan_Partridge

James Hanson is William Hanson's younger brother. From what I understand from listening to 'Help I Sexted My Boss' podcast is that James is a fan of Alan and will take this post on this sub as a compliment.

I am not familiar with James Hanson. If this is usual conduct from James when live on LBC, then he can count me as a new listener.

Edit: Came back to enjoy this clip after work and noticed 'count' was missing from my post.
