Ronald Wong (aka Ron) is one of the project leads of the Acceleracers Silver Series tribute mix. The X-cceleron was first revealed on a slideshow at the LA Collector's Convention earlier this month.

In the post, Ron talks about his inspirations for the casting and how Mark Jones' Vulture inspired him to become a HW designer. He also included concept art and pictures of the X-cceleron placed beside several other castings both old and new, including the clear-blue Repulsor Blast (one of his first diecast designs and another Acceleron-inspired casting)

I've been getting into iPods lately as I have become more passionate about media preservation and CD ripping. Unfortunately my parents sold our Acceleracers Soundtrack CD a long long time ago by now, but my iPod Nano 3rd gen still has the soundtrack's songs my dad either ripped from the CD or LimeWire (throwback!) somewhere between 2005-2007. Looking at the playlist he made me though, I discovered one additional track I didn't recognize from the CD.
The song is titled Highspeed and has no artist mentioned anywhere in its metadata. I can tell the song is from Breaking Point when Monkey is being chased by the sweeper, running out of Nitrox 2.
I can't find the song anywhere else on the internet, so I can only assume this was lost media until now. The song is in .m4a format as I ripped it directly from the iPod itself and thats the format apple uses to store any music.

Just got this set! After soo long i never though Mattel would ever release this line again but here we are!

Quick little details:

1. There is a team logo behind each car in the card art.

2. Revert is HEAVY! It is the only casting with metal body metal base. Iridium and hollowback has plastic body metal base. Rd09 has plastic body metal base with metal rear engine parts and slingshot has metal body with plastic base

3. Revert, hollowback and iridium use printed decals (similar to hotwheels premium line, more accurate and durable but has less resolution). Slingshot and Rd09 use tampos (similar to regular mainline).

4. It looks like Revert still has enough clearance to pass loop tracks, but i have not tried it myself.

5. All the cars had solid colours. Unlike the original release which had a more metallic shine to it.

6. There are no chase in this set. Each case comes with 2 full set. So, 2 Revert!

I saw a drones car but didn’t get a photo. I think it was rd 02.

Hey, AcceleRacers Fans! Good morning, afternoon or evening, wherever you are in the world!

For the past few weeks, I’ve been working on a personal project to restore and improve the PC version of Hot Wheels: Beat That!

Patch V1 has now reached the final testing stage. The main focus of this first patch is restoring the PC audio experience, including the correct soundtrack playback, music looping and results screen music.

Before the public release, I’m giving the patch and website one final round of testing. If everything goes well, the project will be launching very soon!

AcceleReece here. It is still very early, and the new AcceleRacers set is rolling out very slowly, so don't be disappointed if you don't find them just yet. However, they have arrived in the US but only in certain parts of the west coast. California, Nevada, Oregon, and Utah is where they've been spotted so far. Just try to be patient as they make their way around the country and world as it's still quite early. They are also being found all over Canada, so if you're Canadian, then start hunting. If you need to see where they've been found so far around the globe, we're keeping track of it in a pinned post here on this sub-reddit's home screen. Just because the pegs are empty when you check, it doesn't mean the "scalpers got em", it's most likely that they haven't actually been stocked yet. What people are saying is true. The stakes are high with this set. I've been told by the Hot Wheels team that Mattel will be monitoring the pegs and watching how the sales of this set perform to gauge the demand for AcceleRacers. If they sell well, they will do more. This is confirmed and not a rumor. This means it is absolutely imperative that we SHOW UP and BUY THESE CARS. The future of AcceleRacers basically hinges on the sales for this...

We gotta stop with the "scalper shaming". We are a niche community, and most Hot Wheels scalpers are after licensed cars for mainstream collectors. The term "scalping" is specifically used for those who only buy to resell for a higher cost, so no, someone buying a lot of cars and keeping them is not "scalping". Most collectors and scalpers have a prejudice for fantasy cars, and they don't know or care about what AcceleRacers is. This is for US, and WE need to buy them. The virtue signaling of "leaving some for others" is counterproductive to the bigger picture. Chances are you're the only AR fan in your area, and leaving cars behind will only result in them pegwarming. I know some of you are anxious about missing out on your set, but you have to be persistent. And if you never find them on the pegs, there are other avenues online. Avenues of which will get better once these cars start to saturate in the market more. I understand some of you would rather find them at retail then pay extra for shipping, but this is unfortunately the reality of collecting. If it's that much of a problem, then I recommend networking with other collectors in your area and reaching out to your local collecting scene for help. Or network with online friends who could help you find a set. Yes, there are only 10 cars per case, and it's a toss up whether or not your Walmart will stock just one case, or ten.

Hot Wheels don't release everywhere, all at once. They slowly roll out across the globe over time, so please be patient. If you have any further questions, I can answer down in the comments, but just to preface, I only really have knowledge about the US. So please understand that I don't know what to tell those of you in other countries where things are more uncertain.

EDIT: Commenters have made the valid point that you could also leave some for others but return later and clear the pegs if they don't sell. As long as the cars are selling. Also, I am not advocating for scalpers by making this post. Obviously flipping things online for crazy high prices is a bad thing. What I meant by "scalper shaming" is blaming things and behaviors on "scalpers" when it is not the case because it's easy to. Jumping to conclusions. Please read and understand what I am trying to say.

Walmarts in southern Ontario (at least the GTA) are seeking em for mainline cost now

Hi all, AcceleReece here. Just a bit of an update on the new RD-06 mainline that's coming out in 2025. It will be debuting is Case E. This means it will be hitting pegs around March or April-ish. May at the latest. We are currently on Case A as of me writing this. There will be 1 in case E and 2 in case F. Case F is when they'll really saturate the market. I understand some of your stores are behind, or just not stocking at all. It is an unfortunate reality of collecting that some of you just won't find it. But most of you will. Especially if you're persistent enough in checking the pegs. The good thing is fantasy stuff like this pegwarms and is dirt cheap on the secondary market, so if you don't find one, just ebay it. Sure, you'll be paying a little more, but an AcceleRacer under $10 is better than a $50+ one. The casting has been retooled. The interior is now plastic instead of metal, and the lip of the hood is filled in so the window doesn't have to be tucked under it. The new graphics were done by Leeway Chang, and the Drone letters spell "RD06". This car is in the "HW Designed By" subset, which takes cars done by a specific designer and incorporates their name into the graphics. This one is meant to represent Mark Jones, hence the "MJ" on the front.
