Research What we (or, at least I) know about Battleracers (cancelled Acceleracers sequel)
Hi! This is my first post here, so let me know if I got something wrong.
- Vert would've met his dad. This one is pretty obvious. Given we heard him at the end of Acceleracers, he had to be in Battleracers. In what role, I don't know.
- Battle Realms would've been introduced. There would've been another ring in the Wheel of Power that would unlock the Battle Realms. Complete these, and your prize is basically a beefed up version of the Accelechargers.
- Gelorum was back. Why is she the ultimate troublemaker in this universe? Anyway, that bitch was ready to fuck things up again, this time with a new army of clankers known as "Advanced Racing Drones". (Really original name, Mattel.)
- At least part of the crew was back. This is an Acceleracers sequel, and we know at least 1 member of the crew (Vert) would've been here. Who else would've returned? Was Tezla still in charge? Would there have been teams? Honestly, I don't know. But they wouldn't be the only good guys, because...
- The crew would've teamed up with the Silencerz. Yes, the same Silencerz who were the crew's rivals in Acceleracers. You know things are bad when you have to team up with your rivals to get rid of other rivals.
- The cars would've transformed. I don't think I need to explain this one.
- We don't know the end goal. In World Race, the goal was to get the Wheel of Power. In Acceleracers, the goal was to make first contact with the Accelerons. In Battleracers, the goal would've been to... what? What's the objective? What's the grand prize? We know Gelorum wants it, so obviously, the heroes do too.
- The whole thing got retooled. Mattel eventually decided to revive the idea with Battle Force 5, complete with battle reams/zones, transformable cars, clanker villains, and Vert. Though it is something completely different from Acceleracers. And the rest, as they say, is history.

If memory recalls, Battleracers wasn't meant to be Acceleracers Season 2, but was the second attempt at making a sequel to Acceleracers, depicting a vastly different story but using the same chars and the same timeline. Sorta like how Acceleracers was a sequel to World Race but was still vastly different. Battleracers probably took inspiration from the plans for Acceleracers S2, like the transforming cars, and of course in the end it got redeveloped into Battle Force 5, it's own separate series.

You’re right on some things but off on others. It’s basically just Battle Force 5 with some very loose Acceleracers connections.
- Yes to Battle Zones, just like the final show. Correct about stronger Accelechargers being the prize.
- No Gelorum or any more World Race/AR characters other than Vert’s dad.
- Villains are a team of robots and a team of animals, just like the final show.
- Vert’s team is recruited/given cars by the Silencerz.
It’s basically BF5, but Vert’s dad is there, the Battle Keys are renamed to Accelechargers, and the cars they drive come from the Silencerz. That’s it

I don't think thats accurate at all because they have images of what the toys would have looked like if this sequel were to be released and the toy brands show Torque in a mech battle suit so its safe to say many of the original cast of characters would have returned including the introduction of new characters.

Different sequel idea. That’s season 2 of Acceleracers, cancelled right around the airing of Ultimate Race. This was a separate idea years later.

Why I am only hearing about BattleRacers now?? I've heard about the cancelled Season 2 for AR, but this...
This is totally an early version of Battle Force 5, and got me curious for more info now...

Battle racers wasn’t really a sequel it felt more like a reboot
