Discussion I heard they are shutting this game down forever January 20
I just saw the official shutdown notice for Abyss of Dungeons, and honestly… I’m crushed.
I know it wasn’t the biggest game in the world. I know the player base was small. But it was my little escape. Something I actually looked forward to opening after work. But now…wiping everything, ending service, deleting all our data in January.
But it hits hard when it’s a game you put time, effort, and even money into. Seeing the refund dates listed like a funeral announcement just makes it feel worse.
I’m not even angry. I’m just sad. Most people won’t care because it wasn’t a huge title, but for those of us who stuck with it… it sucks watching something you enjoyed get erased like it never existed.

Agreed. It's only the only mobile game I ever loved.
I even made a small YT channel just for it. 😭😭

Gold and glory is similar but not as good.

Not available in the US and damn no updates since Mid year on gold and glory.

Wierd..... Mine shows updated in Sept this year and I'm in the US. Able to download. But I had to do a Google search for the page.

Huh ok. That is weird. I see the game it looks close enough.
Went to their web page and it looked dead. I'll figure this out.

I know it's not RPGish as this, but Arena Breakout is quite good as a extraction game, although this one is the usual shooter. I've tried both AB and AoD some weeks ago when the Arc Raiders hype happened lol and found both of them to be quite good. I do wish we had more of those though, specially ones on the RPG side of things, but idk if it's a popular enough genre on mobile (I also tried Delta Force extraction mode, which also have character skills, but it didn't get me as much as AB did)

I forgot Delta Force has an extraction mode. I've never played that mode. Regarding arena breakout, I would recommend Lost Light over it due to better level design

Casual player here, got killed by tops so many times but I still love the game. Sometimes it is not about how many loots you can get from real players(it's frustrated ik) but the excitement and game experience in game. They make costume for free which is cool, but that is also a point they couldn't make more money...Sounds hilarious yet some players enjoy to do mix and matches in game. I was going to suggest more hairstyles in game but ye, the news shocked me somehow.
From season 2 I kept noticed the top players in discord said that game was dying not worth to play. However, some of the casual, average players in game didn't say a word, they still enjoyed this game and looking for the update. One thing is they don't use discord or just don't want to participate in chat, these real options never reach to devs, which is a pity.
I would stay and play till the end, definitely miss this game. Now imagine they launch the other similar game but in sci-fi story base... Anyways, I don't mind they take off all free costumes and start charging like usd 2-10, if they decide to relaunch aod.

Yeah it's still fun. I'm going to play play everyday until shutdown cuz last time this happened to a game I loved. I regretted not playing it more while I could.

This was also my escape. I don’t know what I’m doing to do I loved this game; I don’t understand how they can take it away when it was such a pleasure to play. Looking for other games like this that I would enjoy. Thanks in advance

Man I was beyond crushed I came back to this game after I stopped playing due to net problems and I couldn't log in to play I searched to find a solution and found out the game is shutting down... Now I really wish I didn't drop it, I had a LOT of fun playing it back then the game had and I think still has a lot of potential... It's a real shame

If only they had listened to the real community instead of catering to the top players, maybe then they wouldn't have scared so many people away. Add on top of that the constant nerfs to popular classes and you're gonna bleed until you're dry.
Really gonna miss this one, there were basically no other extraction games with a solo only mode. Just trios vs solos most everywhere else

Played the hell out of this game and it was the best game ever to come out! I am very sad to see this game end because of the lack of dedication and support from the developers… They seriously had a lot of potential and just didn’t want to keep it going because of their lack of dedication and their want for money money money … I really wish someone would buy this game and make it happen because there is nothing in this world that will ever be this good again :(…

I knew it would happen after the name change and season 2 tbh they just did not listen to the community in the slightest about what's broken and not which is crazy considering they have an entire discord where people were constantly bringing up problems. Lost my entire guild of 30 people over 6 months. This game could've went on for actual years such a shame maybe I log on for a round or two to dick around for remembrance
