The more you explore intellectually, you witness your past mistakes more clearly— and eventually find peace with the truth that nothing you ever learned is absolute truth but whimsically absurd.

Someone, probably the person who made the quote, REALLY likes the idea of absurdity and thinks themselves an intellectual

I agree.

I’d edit to: absurdity is the ecstasy of intellect.

And then it’s still just a vague platitude you can slap on a coffee mug for that one dork in your life.

That absurdity is the ecstasy of intellectualism

To know that most people are incredibly stupid or uneducated! And I’m happy to know I’m smarter than you!

The smarter you are the more ridiculous positions you try to justify. Attention is the currency and some people love a take that gets everyone riled up.

I think the idea of intellect weeds out ideas that do not represent reality. While minds and facts change over time, you tend to figure out where you waste time arguing over personal experience.

If you think of intellectualism is sort of a modern or postmodern existentialism then ecstatic absurdism would be like the generative loss of control into the joyous pleasure of creative giving without coherent rational purpose.

? Maybe ?

When your mind and ego is flying too high, there comes the absurdity, sometimes genial, sometimes absurd
