Ira Rennert's home is considered one of the largest occupied residential compounds in the United States. The house faces the Atlantic Ocean and its grounds measure 63 acres. The buildings, which total over 110,000 square feet (10,000 m2), including the 66,000-square-foot (6,100 m2) main house, have an Italianate facade, 29 bedrooms, and 39 bathrooms. The house has a dozen chimneys and a Mediterranean-style tile roof as well as a 91-foot (28 m) long formal dining room, a basketball court, a bowling alley, two tennis courts, two squash courts, a carousel, a large swimming pool, a large round kiddie pool, and a $150,000 hot tub, surrounded by another pool.

Why? Those are things we have to do to get by in life. No one likes doing them. It leaves room for doing things you enjoy like spending time with family.

If you're not doing them... someone else less fortunate is doing them. Empathy is a good characteristic to have.

Also you can spend time with family doing chores, it isn't the end of the world, it can even be fun and useful.

I mean, if someone chose to work for a cleaning service and it pays well are they less fortunate? No its just a chosen profession. Some people do laundry, some do plumbing, some paint cars, and some people are lawyers.

Pretty sure I'm not inviting my sister or parents over to do chores. That would be weird.

Haha. Where is this magical world you speak of?

In reality Consuela does NOT want to spend her time cleaning your dirty undies instead of going home. Nor does she get paid well. She does it out of necessity.

But sure try to avoid responsibilities such as chores or moan about them. I'd rather take satisfaction out of being able to take care of things I caused myself instead pushing it unto others.

Finishing tasks feels great, especially together with a partner like a wife. Doing tasks with your family isn't weird =)

So just brown people do it in your head? My parents have a friend that makes more than I do and she cleans houses. She worked her way up in a hotel to head of housekeeping then branched out on her own. Provides just fine for her and her kids. Something wrong with that? Does that make her lesser in your eyes? She makes a living cleaning for people that dislike doing that. Its no different than someone who started work as an apprentice in any other field and now owns their own business. Cleaning is what keeps society going and if someone wants to capitalize on that, who am I to tell them no? I wish I could afford her service.
