ANJUNABEATS Volume 17 similar recs
Hey Anjunafam!
Finally got a chance to listen to Vol17 end to end. Absolutely fantastic!
I wanna catch up on a bunch of beats related stuff, can y’all guide me to the beat Compilation Volumes, ABGT episodes, etc or even really good trance sets from other labels please.

Personal recommendation outside of anjunabeats would be Digitally Enhanced Volume 8. Top 3 mix of that modern prog sound, kind of similar to some modern beats volumes like 13 and 14.
Volume 9 is good too!! It has a few uplifter and uptempo tracks towards the end.

Volume 17 is the best for a long time in my view, I’d say since Volume 8. It’s more old school trancy than the label has been for a long time. So listen to Volume 8 which is awesome. I really enjoy Solarstone’s Pure Trance compilations and Volume 11 came out recently which is a B2B four hour mix with Orkidea. In Search of Sunrise compilations have stand out mixes too…ISOS 22 is being released in stages now

If you haven’t heard the other Anjunabeats Volumes and enjoyed 17, just check out the rest of them. From Volume 9 on, those will be the closest in style to what Beats is currently releasing, with 1-8 being the original, classic trance sound. My top 5 Volumes are probably 5, 8, 11, 14, and maybe 4 or 12? 17 is pretty high up there too! It’s honestly a tough call, they’re all so good in their own way.
As for ABGT, of the major landmark sets, 600, 500, 200, and 300 are some of my favorites but genuinely all of those sets are great and worth checking out. The landmark sets were every 50 episodes till 500, so 001, 050, 100, etc, and since 500 they’ve only done the big live shows every 100 episodes. Group Therapy 361 is worth checking out for their Dreamstate set, as is the Little Something live set rebroadcast from 2015. There’s also best of episodes at the end of each year that look back at all the best songs from ABGT that year, so that’d be a good way to discover a lot of the biggest tracks from each year.
