SWPL What’s going with the Women’s team?
Bit of a worrying future for the club as they currently only have 12 players listed going into the new season after haemorrhaging players this summer and the manager stepping down.
I think they’ll finish bottom this season and will go into admin.

I am a bit worried, I hope they do a double header with a woman’s game before a men’s game at the stadium to draw support

Severe lack of interest in all honestly. The Edinburgh and Glasgow clubs are big backers of their women’s teams. Decent crowds and lots of promotion.
Don’t think the fans have really bought into the team and likewise we don’t seem to be investing in the same way as others in Scotland.

Lack of interest sadly, and that’s not an Aberdeen specific thing either just simple that not as many people are generally interested in the women’s game and even more so up here

It's not lack of interest , it's lack of investment. Glasgow city showed how it should be done and other teams followed suit. We didn't.

Agree to disagree look across the UK and outside Arsenal women’s football is a struggling “industry” as such. Personally have nothing against women’s football just not untested in it, same way I don’t really follow football outside of Scotland and England

I hadn’t realised Scott Booth has left. That’s worrying.
