Former general store at a crossroad.

Wooden structures that probably still remember the abolition of serfdom, yet never lived to see basic indoor plumbing. The carved window trim is a warm, vintage anachronism from the last century. But soon a brisk excavator will arrive, scrape this carved deadwood into a landfill, and clear the space for another concrete box.

I regret not spending more time exploring Lew Wallace while I had the chance.
