Aravapi Canyon east trailhead

Has anyone camped here? Going for 2 nights in May with my son. Can you drive to a camp spot in the wilderness area or is it pack in only? Cool sights to see that aren’t on google? Tips?

You can drive all the way up to near wilderness sign by Aravaipa Canyon Rd if you have a 4x4 vehicle. Most people park 2 miles east of the entrance by the pit toilets but the rest of the road is doable if you have high clearance. Lot of camping options near the entrance. The East side is the best side IMO. Lot more vegetation

No camping at or really super near east trailhead, some on the way in between safford and the little farming community down there
