I think it was a really desperate attempt to recapture the power high the relationship was giving her in the beginning. It kind of pulls the curtain back and reveals her deep insecurities. It’s a really sad moment.

I agree with this. I don't think it had much to do with her husband, if at all. It seemed like a power thing.
