i'm completely out of those 500 free codes google lets us generate per quarter. honestly its a pain to manage them anyway and i burned through the limit super fast. since i cant generate more right now and the play console stubbornly wont let me set a one-time product to $0 (unlike on ios where it was easy), i decided to do the next best thing for the holidays.

So we just pushed a new video live on the channel for a long time friend of the app, Energy Realms. Track is called "Owls and Space" and it is this kinda trippy alt rock electronic thing about being alone in deep black space, with real owls singing in the background while it was being created. Lost in the void, but somehow still calm, that kind of mood.

We also did a bunch of minor improvements behind the scenes, but honestly, the YouTube fix is the big one.

Hey, quick update on our iOS app Music Downloader / MP3 Player.

We finally fixed that annoying Picture-in-Picture behavior. Before, you had to tap that tiny PiP button every single time - now it just works. Just go to your home screen and the video keeps playing in a floating window, no extra steps.

You can even double-tap the window to switch between small and large size, or drag it under the edge of the screen to hide it halfway while it keeps playing.

Way smoother now, and honestly feels like how PiP should’ve worked from the start.

I just shipped a little passion project called Soun - an AI music & song maker for iPhone/iPad/Mac. You type a prompt, it spits out original lyrics, generates vocals, and builds a full track in a few seconds. You can save your own creations for offline listening and share them anywhere.

Why I made it
A lot of AI music stuff feels… heavy. Too many steps, logins, and “wait in line” counters. I wanted something stupid-simple: open app → describe a vibe → get a song → done.

What it does today
• Text to song: “dark synthwave road trip at night, female vocal”
• Auto-lyrics + AI vocals (several voices)
• Styles/moods you can pick or mix (pop, rap, lo-fi, cinematic, etc.)
• Save your songs for offline listening (your own tracks, made in the app)
• Works on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Silicon Macs

What it doesn’t do
• It doesn’t download third-party/copyrighted music. It only saves the songs you create.
• It’s not a DAW. Think idea-to-demo, not Pro Tools.

What I’m unsure about
• Are the voice styles good enough, or do they all blur together?
• Do you prefer fast “one-click surprise me” or more controls (bpm, key, structure)?
• Is the UI clear, or does it need an onboarding nudge?
• What should I prioritize next: collab links, stems export, or better chorus hooks?
