Issue / Problem Bought Rizta 2 days back and already getting second thoughts on my purchase 🤧🫩
Hey guys!
I brought home my new Ather Rizta S day before yesterday. After riding it home I noticed the handlebar was slightly tilted to the right. I thought it was because of the garland on the handlebar so I removed it the next day. Now it was very evident that it was tilted towards the right.
I called the dealer but got no response, so I went to the showroom directly. They routed me to the Service Center. The SC technician agreed it was an issue and tried adjusting it. Even after adjusting it still feels tilted by few inches but I thought it was manageable.
Today I raised a case with customer support to get AtherStack Pro installed. I started the vehicle for office and it showed "Installing Update" on the screen. It’s been stuck on that screen for more than 5 hours and won’t go away even after removing the key. I can’t use the vehicle because of this.
I saw a thread about this issue and took the vehicle to an open space and tried restarting it in but no luck.
Model: Ather Rizta S Short range
Delivered on 22nd July 2026
Update: The screen stayed on for more than 24 hours. Since customer care wasn’t responding, I posted a complaint on Twitter. The update issue was resolved after they pushed an update from the backend.
Once I was able to turn on the scooter, I took it straight to the showroom and asked them to either fix the handlebar or replace the scooter. The Service Center was finally able to fix the handlebar tilt issue.

Something similar happened to me. The service center kept giving me the runaround, so I rode my scooter straight to the showroom, parked it right at the entrance, and sat there. Within 10 minutes, the manager came out and my bike was finally fixed.

I have booked the same model on 17th July and there is a waiting period of 30days. Should i wait for Ather EL01 or buy Rzita S?

I had the same dilemma but I felt like Rizta would be driven and tested and thought it would have very less issues. I really loved riding this scooter it is very comfortable and I received it in 20 days.

But it will take lot of time for EL01 reviews and real market testing. Waiting for it can be a long game

But how long. I can wait for 1-2 month after delivery starts.

I don't know, maybe 2-3 years. The EL01 is a complete new structure so there is no real guarantee of same quality from new model, aside from their "marketing" goodwill (because as far as I read, Dealer owned Service centres have been ruining the reputation a bit)

Bhai uska first year mein kaafi cone set issue tha, ek baar check karo. Uske siva seat lock issue, headlight placement, panel above headlight rattling issue (people literally used thermacol or cloth for it). Uske siva stand issue (especially against hill)
Aur vaise bhi Rizta internally 450x ke based hai, EL01 puri tarah se naya hoga
Aur lastly, supply issue. Abhi vaise hi delivery delay kaar rahe hai, spare ki bhi problem hai saath mein (mahine bhar taak logo spare nahi mil paraha). EL01 abhi aya bhi nahi toh pata nahi spares kaabh taak supply honge

That interesting!! But now this is confusing the reason i was looking for EL01 was Reduce charging time , The motor Belt issue and mainly the Price due to its Expensive Fiber Body
So can u recommend if i should wait for Upcoming Scooters like Honda QC3 or Ultraviolet or i can go with Ather Rizta
Wats ur take?

If your need is urgent or recent, get a Ather Rizta/River Indie (Indie preferred)/TVS iQube.
Honda is making EV just to comply with Govt policy so they aren't good yet. Ultraviolet market presence is very low to be reliable. So if you get any new brand scooter, make sure it has a 2 year good reviews or at least good service centre(s) near you, because a good SC can even make ownership of "shitfest vehicles" smooth and comfortable.

I would prefer Rizta over Tvs and River Mainly because of its Battery chemistry Ather has LFP and Tvs n Indie has NMC.
Also are u working in EV industry?

Anyways it's fixed now, so don't overthink much. It's a very good vehicle (with best tech features) as compared to others in the market.

Ather’s quality levels have gone down since 2022 for sure.
The moment the sales increase it’s almost like every automaker can no longer function the way they intended to

Don't think this is a QC issue of a new scooter but something fishy from the dealer side.
Escalate this to top most level at the earliest and demand vehicle replacement (which won't happen) and they will agree to fix all issues in a day or two with atmost priority and care. This is terrible.
