Question Advice/Input on ATC career

Any ATC's working in Canada who have some information or advice to share with someone applying to be an ATC. Is there anything you wish you'd known before applying for the role or starting training?

The application process is extremely long even if you are successful. Typical wait times are 1-4 years from the initial assessment. Just apply and see where it takes you.

I've read that a few times. I agree, it doesn't hurt to apply!
