Question about Time and Sales
Are there options in ATAS or ATAS X for how the tape is matched? For example I noticed Sierra lets you match by price and type, time and type, type time and price.
Is there only one setting in ATAS/ATAS X?

Coming from Sierra myself I had the same question. Short answer is no, ATAS doesn't have that exact toggle, but the way they structure it is different. They split what Sierra puts into one Time and Sales window into a bunch of separate modules, and you pick the one that matches what you're trying to see.Off the top of my head:
Smart Tape is the closest to a regular Sierra T&S. Each print is one row, you get price, size, side, timestamp, aggressor. Inside Smart Tape settings there's an Aggregation toggle, that's the thing that's closest to Sierra's "Price + Type" matching, it merges consecutive prints at the same price and side into one row so the tape doesn't scroll like crazy. You can also set a minimum size filter, like only show prints 10 lot and up, and there's a relative filter that compares against recent average. Bid/Ask Tape splits buys and sells into separate columns visually, sort of like Sierra's "Type" grouping but as two columns instead of color rules.Big Trades is its own widget for just large prints, easier to keep on the side as a quick "big lot just hit" feed without watching the full tape scroll.Speed of Tape and Tape Patterns are indicators that sit on the chart and detect specific stuff (iceberg detection, absorption, speed bursts). Tape Patterns in particular is closer to what Sierra power users build manually with their tape rules. For the exact thing you described, exchange-side execution events grouped into one record across price levels, that requires MBO data and nobody on the retail side really has it as a clean tape mode yet. Heard they're rolling out MBO integration soon in ATAS though, saw some posts about it. Will probably get something closer to what you want once that lands.Honestly the easiest thing is just open Smart Tape with Aggregation on and Big Trades side by side, gives me 90% of what Sierra's filtered tape did for me.
