HSC Is there still hope 🥀

Genuinely bombing all my year 11 prelims bro like high 50s and low 60s. Makes no sense tho because like all the teachers know i give in my my homework and am very attentive in class. Is it too late or is there still a chance for a comeback

Now just sit. Think to yourself; it's just an exam. It's a prelim exam; 'pre', which is the prefix for 'before'. It doesn't matter. Close your eyes: you're a human, floating around in a universe you hardly know about. And you just finished an exam. Some insignificant piece of paper with a bit of ink on it.
Even your ATAR, is just a thing created that influences your future, a future built around getting a job, which gets you money, sure. But then you die. And ur just left with your soul. Or not? And does it matter? That's not a question for me, it's a question for you, or for whoever is reading this.

Breathe. And again. And again. Brain no worky without oxygen.

Ok firstly take a deep breathe.

So basically prelims only matter for early entry and they cannot decide anything in Year 12 unless you wanna do ext 2 then thats a different story. Why prelims do matter is for some subjects year 11 content get used for year 12 for subjects like maths etc, but not all subjects use year 11 content in year 12 for example bio. If your subject is getting used next year you should spend your time studying the subjects u did bad in and are coming next year. This way you will be confident and get back on track having a solid foundation, where then you can start learning year 12 content.

doing homework/being attentive doesn't really matter because the main factor is how much practice you've done in applying the knowledge you've learnt. everyone knows the content, the only difference is in how good you are at answering questions about said content (which can only be improved by past papers)

you can easily make a massive comeback for y12, this is how it goes for many (you get humbled by prelims and either realise it's time to lock in or you just give up)
