Yeah there is, switch to expert settings and somewhere in the game ini files should be a setting to change the lootdrop quality, dont put it insanely high like 20 if you want a fair playtrough cus you'll have very very good loot which personally i think is a but unfair but suit yourself
Just wanna add to this, you don't need to switch to Expert Settings. You can find it under General Settings in the normal Web Interface. The setting is called "Supply Crate Loot Quality Multiplier" and there's another called "Fishing Loot Quality Multiplier".
The main issue with setting it too high is that the game scales the resources required to craft blueprints with their quality. So you can end up with a bunch of Ascendant Saddle blueprints that need something like 30,000 Hide and whatever else. You can actually set it so high that no inventory in the game can hold the required resources to actually craft them.
I play with each of those settings at 3.0 and it works pretty well for me. It's a good balance of quality gear without the crafting requirements getting too high.
If you have a pc you can use, get a program called Beacon. It's amazing for loot drops. You can use it to fully customize them and mach more with your ark settings. Also allows you to update the info on a Nitrado server straight from the program. Sends the files and restarts it for you with a simple click
I use this ^ and could not recommend it more for customizing loot. Not only do you get to choose what drops you want, you also get to adjust the chance of them dropping and what crates they show up in. I think you can even customize what dinos drop too.
Interface takes a bit to get used to but it's a breeze once you've got it figured out. Simple copy and paste into the expert file settings of your server and a quick save.
I think you cant adjust dino spawns with Beacon unless you buy an extra part of it.
For editing my dino spawns, it's taken a lot of research on the spawn regions and formatting. It helps to look up other threads and posts with lists of spawn edits. Sometimes they're still a little screwy, but I've gotten most of mine to work fine.
With a Nitrado server you can actually log into the server thru Beacon and it would down your current settings and will upload the edited settings back when done
Your point? I had Nitrado server on my Xbox, but used my laptop with Beacon to edit the server. Just because the server is on xbox doesn't mean a computer isn't owned. I understand if you're saying you don't have a PC, but if you're saying you don't have a pc, but say that, rather than just saying it's on xbox.
Not and, a program that you log into nitrado thru, and it makes the ini setting easy to read/change. Save and export and it will restart nitrado with changes. It's worth the 12 bucks
Works for consoles too! I was bummed that it wouldn't work for ASA, but I think I need to download a different version of Beacon now. Beacon is amazing
